saw that the time had changed on the MU website. I assume because of the pats game at 2. works out well for those of us heading to Lambeau, watch the MU game at the stadium view or bw3s and then tailgate till game time. sweet.
If I know Green Bay, you'll have to really pull some strings to get the MU game on tv. They will probably have Packer pregame on at 10 am and fans there who have to watch it.
I know some people who didn't go to the ND game this past weekend because they had to watch Packers pre-game. I thought they were joking and made them repeat it to me several times. I love the NFL as much as the next person, but why in God's name would anyone look forward to a pre-game show? It must be a Packers thing because I've never heard this before and now I've heard it twice in the past week. It's pretty pathetic, if you ask me.

Yeah, you're probably not gonna get the MU game anywhere in GB, especially near the stadium. If you do, you'll get one small screen, no sound, and be forced to listen to one of the local stations' pregame stuff live from The Bar on Holmgren.

Is this news? I did the auto-entry of Marquette games on my Outlook calendar months ago. It's been listed as noon for months.

I do not agree with missing an MU game for a pregame show, but I think calling it pathetic is rather harsh. The Packers are a biiiiig deal in this state. There are only 19 games per season, max. Football tends to be more of an event to people rather than a game. Meaning, they tailgate or have friends over or whatnot. There are many people who consider the degree to which I follow MU to be pathetic. I say, let people enjoy what they enjoy. If they enjoy pregame Packer coverage more than an MU game, while I don't agree with that particular p.o.v., I say, have at it.

If you're actuallly going to the game in Green Bay, then fine, don't go to the ND game. But if you're in Milwaukee, have MU season tickets, and miss the game because you have to watch the PRE-GAME show, that's a little pathetic. Absolutely anyone at the Bradley Center who lives in Milwaukee would have made it to a bar/home in time to not miss a single second of the Packers game. Why not do both? What has anyone EVER gained from an NFL pre-game show except for the knowledge that Terry Bradshaw is a moron and Shannon Sharpe wears annoyingly huge ties? The game is disected all week ad-nauseum on Sportscenter, what more do you need to know?
this has not been true for months. the official MU schedule i carry on me and have posted at work lists 1 pm. I had not seen the new time until today, so if this was changed a while back, please excuse me for being excited that i will hopefully get to watch MU on tv and the PACK in person back to back.
i agree that anyone who watched a pregame show instead of going to MU-ND has strange priorities. My dad gave up his ticks to MU because we were going to the Packer game, but that is really the only reason i could see for missing that game last weekend.
finally, since the pregame for the afc game doesnt start till 1, i am willing to bet that i can get the game on a decent tv starting at noon. the packer coverage wont start until at least 3pm, so i doubt there will be a problem.

You're right. I forgot that the Packer game wasn't until later in the evening. You might get lucky.

The following sports bars are all reasonably close to Lambeau, and I suspect they all would show the game, but you can call to confirm. Old Chicago has a few large plasma HD screens and good food. Anduzzi's has more seating.

I actually know people who are MU fans but fought for the tv while I was watching a Marquette game over break because the Donald Driver show or something ridiculous like that was on.
My dad sold his tickets and I sold my student ticket and we went up to Green Bay.
We went to the Sideline Bar (just west of the stadium, just off Lombardi) and saw the 1st half of the MU game on one of their projection screens. After halftime, they put the game on 2 small TVs and put FOX pregame on every other TV. This was ok for me because the TV right next to us was 1 of 2 that had the MU game on.
I enjoyed the rest of the MU game and then stumbled over to Lambeau for the Packer game.
With the Packer game not being until 530 this week, we are probably going to watch the 1st half of the MU game in Milwaukee, then listen to the rest in the car.
