We seldom get any good quality big men. Besides Luke Fischer and Henry Ellenson, who is the best big man we've had in the past 25 years?
Gotta say Crean. BMOC fur sure. Just ax 'im, hey?
Davante? You don't really need a great center in today's game and even though they weren't big I'd take Lazar or Jae in the post again over 99% of the bigs in CBB
Who would you define as a quality big man on Villanova? Which 6'8 spot up 4 is your preference?

Spellman is 6'9" and wide and long. He is a BIG. Nova missed him last year against Bucky.....

More than 1 way to skin a cat.
When we had Luke, did you really stop and say "wow, we are so much better now"? Or Henry, even?
We can definitely succeed with the guys we have... IMO, the frontcourt play over the next 2-3 years should be incredible. Stay patient and you'll get what you're asking for.
Robert Jackson was a beast. I would say the best true center we've had in the past 25 years.

I would say this is accurate, but Jimmy Mac was pretty damn good too..intimidating force on defense especially. Davante is right up there as well, amazing footwork down low. But, I do agree with the poster to an extent, how nice would it be with the shooter's MU has, if they had a Rob Jackson down low as well?? It would be another great option on nights when the outside shooting isn't going well, dump it down low and it's pretty much an automatic 2.

Very content with the big men we have.
We will get plenty of scoring down low from Morrow, both Hausers, Theo, even Cain and Heldt. We should be able to protect the rim better, too.
