Title: Former Assistants
Post by: MUSF on March 28, 2018, 09:43:37 PM
If you could pick any former MU assistant, that's still alive and capable, to fill Carrawell's position, who would it be and why?

TV Diener.  Noon ball is hurting without him.

Wouldn't touch Buzz with a 10 foot pole.

I think Wainwight was a great d Buzz hire. Experienced head coach, and was a solid assistant.  If he had stayed, he could have had a positive impact on our guys.   I would take him back.

Why?  Because he's quirky/weird?  Like Al?  And can actually coach?

For many reasons discussed many times here.  The guy had absolutely no business being on Marquette's campus by the end of his tenure.

He can definitely coach.

Wish I had first hand knowledge of what actually happened. 5 years of HEAR say still has me thinking.

Jerry! For being an older guy, has an amazing rapport with kids these days.  As much as I could see him pushing a broom when the Buzz lights went out, I have a huge amount of respect for him.
