Didn't Novak participate in the 3 point contest? Did he lose to a female basketball player?
Would be nice to see Jordan Howard in it too

Yeah, he got screwed. SN20 shot, then the women shot. Then Novak had to warm up again to take on the lady, he waited like a hour in between contests.

So if you haven't clicked the link, Rowsey's teammates are Bluiett, Macura and Desi Rodriguez.
Diener, Wesley, and DJO were in it as well as 3 pt shooters, and Lazar made Slam Dunk

With Mac and Drewski, the BigEast team already wins the "white dudes with mega-moxie born to be hated/loved" category. Plus, with Dos Equis sponsoring, you gotta love the AR selection.
Definitely going to watch the 3x3 tournament. Seems fun. Is the Big East team going to take any shots inside the arc?

I can see Rowdy absolutely killing it in this format

Yeah, I'm just worried after seeing how Macura performs in similar situations.
AR30 would run away with the 3-pt contest if they put a defender in front of him so he can pump fake on every shot.
I know he's going to try to go make some money but it'll be great if AR30 plays on the #tbt team this summer.
Oh, and I renew my plea. Marquette should absolutely host the first round in the Al. We'd pack the joint.

how many other times has the female contestant (who would be rather tired having just done three rounds) lost to the male contestant? Or is Novak the only one who got "screwed?"

Yes they have. Nowhere close. Midwest is in Columbus, OH.

Blueitt, Martin, and Foster are without a doubt the 3 best 3 on 3 seniors from the BE, and only one made the roster. That's rough. BE could've won this tournament, but instead there are 4 guards.
My roster for the BE would've been Bueitt, Martin, Foster, and Delgado.
Love Rowsey, but he was horrible defensively with 4 other defenders on his team. Having 2 other guys on the court with him? Yikes.

It's 3 on 3. It was never going to be Delgado
On at least a couple occasions during the two X games I saw Rowsey and Macurra with some conversation where they both smiled. Given their on court personalities it surprised me they seemingly got along on the court.

I would take Delgado over Rowsey in 3 on 3. I don't think Rowsey could guard many players on even the lowest D1 basketball teams in a 3 on 3 situation. Delgado at least would have a prayer.
Who on the BE team guards Yante Maten? Or Jock Landale?

There will be a ton of spacing on the floor, so I'm guessing they place more value on being able to get open and shoot. Doubt there will be much defense, especially conventional low post D. This should really suit Rowsey well.

Who needs to? Their respective teams pound it down to Maten/Londale for 2...we get it out to AR30 or Blueitt for a 3.

The 3 vs. 3 tournament is also being played by 1s and 2s to 21. So even if Rowsey let his guy by for a layup everytime Rowsey would just need to hit 11 3's before the other guy made 21 layups to win the game. With the additional spacing in 3 vs. 3 I would pick Rowsey over Delgado given those rules.
"Intersport's 3X3U National Championship will follow general international 3-on-3 rules:
One basket on a single half court
Two teams of four players (including one substitute per team)
12-second shot-clock
One point per basket inside the arc, two points per basket behind the arc
First team to reach 21 points or best score after ten minutes wins"

CHICAGO (March 7, 2018) – Today, the Player Selection Committee for the inaugural Dos Equis 3X3U National Championship announced their nominees for the inaugural event. The Player Selection Committee, consisting of college basketball experts from a wide range of media outlets including ESPN, CBS Sports, The Athletic, USA Today, NBC Sports, The Ringer and more, voted on their 3X3U nominees from all 32 Division I college basketball conferences. One of the gems I gleaned from the Xavier board today is that Kelan Martin declined to participate. Next man up was Rowsey.
I imagine the Loyola-Chicago guy will also have a substitute.

I read that too, but didn't see where it came from. In the end I wasn't totally sure whether they had evidence, or just guessing it would be Martin.

A-I might actually play a little defense.
Ok, which booster dropped the ball and didn't give Andy his defense payments during the season?

In the movie "Draft Day" they do something similar. Before the draft they send prospects a playbook with $100 bill taped to the back page. They know whether or not a player read the playbook based on if they ask about the $100 bill.
Not a great movie but that's what this post reminded me of.
