2) what, a single poster on a fan site gets his ill thought out post picked up by a national/well trafficked web site? Good thing it wasn't posted as an article on a UK Hoops blog with less than 1K clicks or Deadspin never would have seen it.

If referees call the game in favor of every other team, doesn't that cancel everything out? Lol. Kind of a fallacy for every team's fans to think that the referees are always out to help the other team ::)
Referees can be bad and they are getting worse. I missed watching this game but I'm sure they were bad and calling a ton of minor fouls. But getting that many free throws should be easy money. The guy choked.
