Will the bold click baiting bloggers explain why playing him in the NIT wasn't dangerous and dumb?
Title: Re: Greg had his thumb operated on.
Post by: fjm on March 24, 2018, 02:00:10 AM
Fair point above!

PLAYING GREG WAS WRECKLESS AND DANGEROUS:

1) he was recruited as a PG. his thumb is important.
2) he's a freshman, playing him with a bad thumb could have ruined the next 3 years.
3) if we don't trust the coaches and doctors about Hausers hip, how can we trust them about Gregs thumb the WHOLE SEASON!?
4) are we saying that Greg is not worth anything? We are upset about hauser playing and make a blog about him. But Greg? Who cares eh? He's a fresh with a bad thumb!?
5) are there ZERO "doctors" or "physical therapists" or "PA's/NP's" to provide insight on their inside knowledge of orthopedics (bones) to inform us about how playing with a bad thumb (first digit of hand) could increasingly make him worse in the future?
6) those same wreckless dumb and dangerous doctors(that allowed hauser to play), did they check Greg for a Snuff Box Tenderness? What if his scaphoid was broken and now has no blood flow and the bone is dead? Time to amputate hey?

Or:
7) is it maybe actually ok to trust the coaches and doctors?

Need to speak my peace on Jimny Johns (sic)... I go occasionally because there is a drive-thru by my house.. but I am consistent disappointed (why, I know what's coming?? nh) by their subs. I get the turkey a lot and it's so bland -- no taste at all. The Vito is OK, but even that is pretty blah. Really, really weak product.

Greg, I thought, understood better his potential and ability at this level as the season went on. Played with great confidence in some of the games late in the season. His blk% and stl% splits were lovely. Hope he's here for all his years... would be comfortable with him stepping up as a senior as a leader... can take it slow for now... but I think it'll be fun to watch him grow as a leader.

Used to Love Jimmy Johns.

But I'm an avid hunter who believes in hunting for meat/survival and have since stopped because of the owners actions of killing threatened species of animals.

So now I do Potbellys. Delish. AND all the sandwiches are toasted.

Jersey Mikes is da Bomb. I read about JM on the NM thread.   I was a Suburpia Sub fan back in the day.. Used to drive to North and Prospect to get my Suburpia Gold Coast..   Then after they closed I went to Cousins ..  Pretty good stuff..  Jimmy Johns wasnt bad..  Neither was Potbelly's ( mY wife's fave).. After having  a REAL Philly Cheesesteak (in Philly), Philly Way here was a close 2nd... But then I read about Jersey Mikes on Sccop, I found one near us and were both converts... Even had a Jersey Mikes Steak Cheesesteak for the Super Bowl...Yup  Jersey Mikes is IT for Subs...

Firehouse has the worst commericals and I refuse to eat there because of it.

I also dislike the patronage of the whole firemen thing. Even the firemen I know hate that angle.

I'm glad Elliott's recovery is only 4-6 weeks. That means he can start doing dribbling drills and hit the weights hard mid-May at latest. If he tightens up his handle that could make a huge difference for us next year, and it will be sorely needed if we can't bring in a top tier grad transfer.

Their commercial spokesman has a big lumberjack beard. No actual fireman would have that kind of beard because it would interfere with their facepiece. That alone is enough reason for me not to eat there.

Commercials are also why I won't try Sonic. Those guys annoy the hell out of me.

Here's the thing with In and Out.  It's perceived to be way better because it isn't accessible here in the midwest.  So as the occasional treat it's fine.  Emphasis on the word occasional.

Firehouse is better

We had a Firehouse open up near where I work, and it was honestly the worst sandwich place I've ever been.  I went two times several months apart, and both times it was horrible.  I mean really, really bad.  Bland and soggy sandwiches - and pricey.  I know a lot of people like it, so I honestly feel like it must have been a bad franchise.  It only lasted about a year in a fairly busy area that really doesn't have enough places.  Hell, I go to Subway (bad sandwiches) and a local deli (expensive sandwiches) because their conveniently located and there are few options here, so for me to swear off Firehouse because it was worse than Subway but still expensive just shows how awful it was.

I've only been to Jersey Mike's once, and thought it was very good.  I really like DiBella's - probably my favorite.  I also like Jimmy John's.  In a pinch I'd probably be willing to try Firehouse again (to see if the one here was just a bad shop), but since there are several other options that I like, it probably won't ever happen.

/Yeah, I know...NM.
