Hell of a (short) career at MU. Leads with at least 2 records:
- MU 3 point made single season
- MU single season scoring
Guy had toughness well beyond his size. Loved the attitude/snark. Seemed to be well liked by teammates and coaches.
Turned into an above average point this season as well. (Even though our coaching can't improve players)
We'll miss him next year.
The effort was there on defense, just too small in a big guard league.
Limitless range, limitless swagger. Thanks, Andrew.
What a Got Damned stud...
(dude made some silly silly SILLY mistakes and turnovers... but who hasn't or doesn't)
He will be sorely missed, his attitude, his THE THING, his leadership, his lack of fear... I'll miss him for sure!
ANDREW ROWSEY: HIGHEST SINGLE SEASON POINT TOTAL!!
A fun player for sure. I'm glad he got to the Dance last year and he powered an NIT run this year.
Best of luck Andrew!
What a player. We were blessed to have him. Short in stature, long in swag. Love him. Such a memorable player

Also set the all time Big East record of FT%.
He earned every point. Brewski Time!
Lots of love, a dose of frustration, but mostly grateful to see you play, and play for my team. Thank you.
I am really gonna miss that guy. One of those guys you'd hate if he wasn't on your team. Those guys are great to have. Best of luck, Andrew!
Scores 29 and gives up 30. HHMMMM. Good luck Andrew.
I thoroughly enjoyed every second of play this young man gave MU. Kids like him don't come around very often . Skill , creativity and played with a lot of heart and swagger. Kudos to Andrew on a great career and having the strength of conviction to make the transfer to MU .
Was going to comment on how much I'd miss Rowsey but Tower and Herman said it all.
Good-bye and God bless, AR, You were a baller and a half!

Little harsh my friend. First Rowsey is a shooting guard by nature, not a point guard. He played all year out of position out of necessity for the team.
I think many believe one small guard that shoots lights out works. Two short guards causes problems on D. I think matched with the right tall, good ball handling, defensive point guard Rowsey and Howard would have been an even greater asset. We just did not have that person this year.

And I'll just put you on the ignore list with all the henry easy rebounders.
Let's just say you know so little about basketball you couldn't be the manager on a 4th grade team.
Character revealed
I'm really going to miss his swagger. He was a warrior for sure. How many scars, bruises, and stitches did he play with this season?
Sleep well my dear Rowsey. May you rest with Wally and Burr.
One of the good ones and a character too, I'll forever remember "The Thing".

Welcome to Scoop Takes DMan!
Never not fun to watch.
Go give em hell abroad.
Thanks, AR. You will not be forgotten at MU. You did some remarkable things. Congrats on breaking the single season record for points and 3s made. You rock. Best of luck. Come on home whenever you feel like it.
One of my favorite players in recent memory. Embodied the toughness and swagger we expect from our team. Wish him well wherever his next stop is.
It's funny, there's only been a few players I was truly sad to see graduate. Lazar was one. Davante was one. I think Rowsey joined the list today.
Can't wait to watch him light up TBT next year

Agree completely. I am gonna miss him. We need something to be the first entrant in the Scoop Hall of Banners. Say....

I approve.
One of the best of this century at MU. Tons of swag. Tons of game. Lots of heart. Will be missed sorely. All time single season scoring leader at Marquette?! Incredible.
Best to Andrew as he pursues a professional career. Sure hope he gets a chance to go to an NBA Summer League /gets a look. Pretty similar to JJ Barrea.
Thank you Andrew. You have the heart, determination and swagger of a leader, and were always exciting to watch. Your range was incredible - some of the shots you hit just left me shaking my head. And I will always think back fondly about #thething.
Be well always, Warrior!
Love AR30, we're gonna miss him
Always entertaining, even when he was frustrating to watch at times.
When he drained those 2 LOOOONG 3s back to back against Creighton - absolute, cold-blooded daggers to seal the deal - it was probably the best moment of the season.
Fitting that he had not 1, not 2, but 3 The Things in his final game as a Warrior!
Andrew - loved watching you for two years. Loved your swagger, toughness, attitude and shooting the lights out with startling shots. We will miss you, and wish you the best!
Absolutely love the kid and how he plays. One of my all-time favorites!
Loved his game and when it was properly harnessed, loved his attitude. See you at #tbt!
I like the fact that Rowsey, the only senior, earned the last SOTG, meaning his photo will stay to the left into next season. He deserves a place of prominence.
After the first time I saw a tiny guy in a V-neck sweater getting right into Ben Simmons face, I knew I was really going to like him.
Andrew, you were tough, confident, scrappy, and often frustrating. I loved that you didn't take crap from anyone, and more often than not, you backed up your swagger. The shot of you tapping your wrist during the Villanova game will be one of my lasting memories as a Marquette fan. You were a hell of a lot of fun to watch, and I am going to miss you.
Also, if I ever have the opportunity to meet your mom, I will have to give her a big, sympathetic hug. I know that a guy with your personality would have been a handful to raise. But I also know she couldn't be prouder of you.
Count me as a Rowsey fan. We're going to miss him a lot.
Where does he go from here? Think he'll play for cash?
Topper
Rowsey will get paid to play ball for a long time. He is unique player and very entertaining.
Would kind of be surprised if he's not in the 3-point contest in SA late next week.
Andy Rowsey makes me think of this:
Thank you Andrew! Congrats and the single season record and thanks for choosing Marquette. We knew you had many options.
Grate fit four da Washington Generals, aina?

agreed, and even on the turnovers I do remind people Wade had more - over 3 a game - but when you are the guy making things happen you are going to have some silly turnovers where you guess wrong on a cut as well.
I just updated www.valueaddbasketball.com, which does penalize players for turnovers and missed shots, and even factoring that in Rowsey was the 14th best offensive player in the country. Even once adjusting for below replacement-level defense he was still the 50th most valuable player in the country of 4,068.
The fact that he could replicate a 6 of 11 three-pointer 29-point performance 2 nights in a row, particularly against a Penn State Defense that was the 14th best in the nation at www.kenpom.com until Rowsey knocked them down to 18th almost single-handedly, was something.

I am a big Rousey fan.
Off the top of my head he had the third best senior season, behind Crowder and Tony Smith.
I am sure some one will try to mention McNeal, but I was not a McNeal fan.
Classic.

Jimmy Mac called it "three throws" which I personally thought was way more clever.
