Title: Oregon SOTG
Post by: Lighthouse 84 on March 18, 2018, 05:43:47 PM
Ugly at the end!  Let's beat PSU!

1.  Andy.  Big shots early.
2.  Theo.
3.  M2N.
4.  Heldt.

If anyone isn't using 2-4 tickets on Tuesday, please keep me in mind.  Thanks and Go Warriors!

Wowsey.  Both because of his play, and because without him we may not get the ball past half court.

Rowdy by a distant mention.

Honorable mention to Greg, only guy who could defend without fouling and added 13 points, 3 boards, a steal, and a block.

Yep.  Rowsey by a wide margin.  9th SOTG this year.  And some numbskulls think he won't be missed much next year.  Biggest reason why I'm not nearly as bullish on our team next year as most.  HUGE loss.

Rowsey by a wide margin. Nod to Sam for playing.

A PG is essential for next season, or every team we play is going to press us from the opening tip.

Its just that you are looking to pick a fight all the time.  Topic was whose the SOTG of game, not about numbskulls and your ongoing narrative of next year's perspective.   Just ruins this board at times.

Accepted and didn't want to call out, but if posters stick to topics without going way off, board would be so much desirable.

Good insight, Slapper. I know sometimes it's easy to want to vent (as I've been accused of doing).

Always good to try to stay on an even keel. Hard for me since our family motto is "Nihil in Moderatio."

Rowsey. You could see how fired up he was for this game from the beginning, I thought maybe even too much. Turned in perhaps the finest all-around performance of his career. 29 points and 9 assists? Unreal. Even had a steal and played pretty good defense most of the game. Oregon had no answer.

Rowsey has the moxie which has made him one of my top 10 MU players ever. And games like this are what make me like the NIT. I live in NY and would go to see them in the final four.

The lacrosse team obviously had a sub-par game, as evidenced by Oregon's 78.9% free throw shooting (versus just 52.9% for Harvard).

How many alley-oop passes did we throw all season?

AR-30 was a no-look, oopin' machine in this game.

So he was crowd-pleasing ... in addition to all the other stuff.

As big a no-brainer choice as there has been all season.

Those teams would have been too balanced for one guy to dominate SOTG.

Meminger started his career alongside Thompson and Cobb, and finished it alongside Chones and Lackey.

Mo and Butch played with guys like Frazier, McNeill, Tatum, Ellis, Walton, Whitehead.

My money would be on DWade. Diener and RJax would have stolen a few, but he was still head and shoulders above the rest.
