Anyone have videos of what the student section was doing during Harvard's free throws in Q3/Q4 of the game? Want to show a few friends who couldn't make the game and I didn't get any good videos. A+ for creativity and effort! I love that one of the refs chuckled and shook his head during the swimming one.
What did they all do? I was to their right.
I believe that was the lacrosse team. They did a good job. My kids were cracking up. They need to work on their timing though...as in, do their antics when the shooter is actually at the line! ;)

Unfortunately I didn't get a video of the rollercoaster which I thought was the best one.

Those are awesome! Thanks for posting. I didn't get the best view from where I was sitting.
I told my wife... "someone needs a BigHead of Jaws." With no tunnel behind the hoop at the FoxHole next year, I'm looking forward to the students' creativity.
In all seriousness - small sample size alert -
Harvard is 77% FT on the season, 70% w/o Towns. They went 52.9% last night.
Bassey is 81.5% on the season. He went 3-6 last night.
Djurcic and Haskett are a combined 61.7% on the season. They went 0-4 last night.
Welsh and Johnson went 5-5. Johnson is an 87.5% shooter and Welsh made 1 of 2 on the season going into last night.
Tongue in cheek perhaps, but FT defense might just be a real thing.

That Lacrosse team plays their ass off on FT defense.
Wojo enjoyed those antics as well.

MU ought to seriously consider reserving the front and center seats for the LAX team. Over time, I suspect the rest of the student section would catch on.

We just need the Lacrosse team to head up our free throw defense drills.

Well if Wojo does not pan out we can hire Stormy. I don't think will have a problem recruiting.

At the minimum, they could be part of a more organized student fan club that creates and practices their stunts ahead of time, and as a reward for their dedication, get the good seats reserved for them. Pretty sure Wojo would be all over that.
LAX boys need to step up their game on Sunday; Oregon will already be used to it from ASU's Curtain of Distraction

Yup. He didn't see it, and even if he did he wouldn't have thought it was entertaining.

I always believed there was something to that, especially when you consider the crowd at the BC could never get in the eye of the shooter because of the tunnel.

The video I linked about ASU said that opponent's FT% dropped 16% on the student's end after they introduced the curtain.
Loved the LAX bros last night. The only one they didn't do is the "run for cover." TAMU students do it at the women's games. As the shooter starts their motion the students scream and run out of their seats. I actually have never seen an opponent make a shot after that.
Another one we used to do. The band would serenade free throw shooters at the women's games with the cheesiest love songs we could think of.
Thank you for sharing these. I didn't have the right angle on Wednesday, but could see some of what was going on like the swimming. We thought the other one was parting of the red sea. Missed the roller coaster entirely.

I want the LAX bros to break out The GOLFER. They form a circle around a guy in golf attire (knickers? Kangol style hat? sunglasses?)Before the Oregon player approaches the line, the "golfer" and his optional "caddy" hold up the putter to "plumb bob" and read the line, or they bend down to see how the green "breaks". The GOLFER then takes short arm-swing practice putting strokes while looking at the target. Just before the Oregon player starts his motion, a guy holes up a QUIET PLEASE sign and the LAX bros start "Shhhh(ushing)" the crowd. Then they scream and stomp while shouting, "NNOOOONAN" and "MMMiss It!!" in reference to Caddyshack's Danny Noonan.
If the LAX bros can bring it on Sunday, and again on Tuesday (presuming ND gets Sanduskied tomorrow), Mikey J might be able to crack out the "best student section in the country" again next year and keep a straight face doing it.
