I'm an optimist. I choose defense. Well played guys.
Yes.
C'mon. Harvard was terrible. MU was only slightly less terrible.
Defense is in the eye of the beholder.
Harvard had 34 points at the end of 30 minutes. I don't care who we were playing, that doesn't just happen by accident. We had plenty of bad opponents score at will this season. That did not happen tonight.
Both
Big drop off between BEAST and Ivy, plus Harvard missing their top player, so bad opponent is the final answer.
Harvard was something like 6-11 out of conference and missing their best player. MU looked quicker defensively. Cain played really well on defense. So did Matt. Can it be 'both'?

Definitely bad opponent. They were missing their top
TWO guys. Anyone think we win without Rowsey and Markus last night? - and they are our worst defenders.
Interior and help side defense with the bocks n steals. Ppg defense was good too however Harvard missed a ton of wide open 3s
Defense was better. Heldt is always solid defensively. Cain was extremely disruptive. 2nd most minutes played this year at 28. Don't think it is a coincidence our D is better when Cain is on the floor.

This. Last night's game wasn't even the equivalent of beating DePaul at home. Harvard isn't that good. But Marquette still put in one of its strongest defensive efforts.
