Holy sh it these teams sucks
Not in the eyes of the committee. Selection Sunday is over, MU did not make it. Time to move on to seeing what this team can do in another (albeit less important) tournament.

Wrong. This tourney is on tv. It's very much happening and the product on tv is horrendous
Speaking of play-in team quality, I found this interesting. On the radio yesterday they said that in Vegas, Syracuse would be a neutral court dog to 11 NIT teams.
On a good day, we can play with anyone in the country. Ask Xavier or Nova. Unfortunately, being good enough to play teams that got in doesn't mean you get in.
Since we're in the other dance, we might just as well win the whole frackin' thing.

What would we ask Nova and X, teams that we were collectively 0-5 against this year?
What two teams?
St. Bonaventure and UCLA. Awful game.

This. Arguably, if we won one of those 5 games we would have been in.
Yah, hard time believing we don't beat the Bonnies and/or UCLA 7-8 times out of 10. Those teams just aren't very good.
But they took care of business in the regular season and made it to the tourney. That's what matters. Playing poorly in a single-elimination game doesn't mean that they're worse than a team that had a mediocre regular season and had to settle for the NIT.
I'm sure fans of other teams had similar thoughts watching MU in the 1st Round in 2007 or 2002 or 1997.

did the A10 really deserve three bids?

Neither are we. That's the way it goes.

Agreed. Didn't get there...had plenty of chances. Doesn't change the fact that there are plenty of undeserving teams there (Cuse, Oklahoma, ASU, St. Bonnie, UCLA). But MU has no one to blame but themselves.
I am fully onboard with complaining in the event that we dominate the entire NIT field. Absent that, let's put our eggs in next year's basket.
Watching us struggle against a short handed bunch of Ivy kids that went 6-11 in non conference play: no, no we are not.
Absolutely dreadful. We have no business playing in the post season.
This was a home game, and we still almost gave the game away. Yikes.
Ohhh ohhh its my turn.
This post didn't age well

Spot on, sad to say.
