Title: Long Range Expectations
Post by: GooooMarquette on March 09, 2018, 05:41:15 PM
Curious what the board has in terms of long-range expectations for the program - say 15 years out.

I think we'll be pretty good.

The ice cream truck will be able to drive itself anywhere.  Coach Diener will not have to leave the newly renovated Al in order to put it in front of the highly recruited embryos all the blue chips will be after.

Im thinking we will repeat the threepeat in 2038. Anything less than that is a disappointment and should put Wojo on the hot seat

Guru will still be raving and drooling, but it will be done from the nursing home.

The NCAA will be dead; athletes will be paid; and, Scoopers will be clamoring for Coach Wojo's head because he still hasn't recruited a point guard.

In spite of that, Marquette will have a 15-year continuous streak of appearances in the now named Mark Cuban College Basketball National Championship tournament; three national championships; and, an renewed rivalry with Notre Dame (ordered by Pope Francis) in which we are 12-3. We're 3-1 against North Carolina and 5-0 against Duke, now coached by Henry Ellenson.

Finally, Wisconsin stops playing us because we have  a 16-0 record against the Badgers since 2017.

Oh, and Warrior Arena has been called the worst place to play in the nation. Something about it being a pit and the advantage that keeps Marquette great. Nobody wants to play us at home because we lose, on average, about 1 home game a year .

Well, we had "Expectations," then "Future Expectations" (as if regular expectations were not about the future), so why not "Long-Range Expectations"?

Gotta run - need to start a thread about "Long-Range Future Expectations."

Now this is funny!  ;D You may be absolutely right, it may be from a nursing home...Or, it maybe I'm not even around that long...if MU wins another National Champ again before that, I'll be ready to go at anytime then :)

MUScoop will have a 96 core server, and Ners and Chicos will have gone through a combined 24 new identities.

Oh, and Arby's will be the only fast food restaurant remaining.

That there'll be a lot more "why my wife is amazing" posts from those of us in our 20s.

And those of us who are a bit past our 20s will occasionally post "Help - I've fallen and I can't get up!"

I hope Wojo is still the coach at Marquette in 15 years. Should be a sign that he's built the right program. He's happy. The administration is happy. Fans are happy. MU is the class of the Big East, competing for conference championships and national titles. Milwaukee is once again home to a college basketball powerhouse.

C'mon, man ... guru has forgotten more about raving and drooling than you'll ever know!
