Really gonna miss watching Andrew play. Kid was a baller and talent. Had a ton of heart.
Kudos to Wojo for landing him and getting him to Marquette.
Hope he gets to go out in NCAA tourney, but if not, hopefully a great run through the NIT.
Thanks to Andrew for all his hard work and efforts put in on behalf of MU.
Andrew truly the definition of a warrior. Knew it ever since his jawing sessions with a future lottery pick from the bench
One of those few players where I never thought he rested on a play; always hustling.
Andrew, we salute you. Thank you for playing as a true Warrior with plenty of grit and fire to win. You are a winner and will do well.
There is no one like him. Love to have him, hate to play him. Glad he was with us for 2 years. He's not done yet though!
Rowsey is the kind of person college Basketball should always be about. Not the "one and done" but the hard working 4 year player who might not have every gift but works his tail off to make the most of what he has. Most importantly, by all appearances, he appreciates it.

I think this is spot on. Guys like Rowsey are why the college game is so much fun to watch. Seeing him tear up when he came off the floor shows how important MU hoops is to him. Would have been nice to send him off with a better game, but I'm glad he at least had the kind of Senior Day he deserved.
Gonna miss Andrew. The crazy long threes, #thething, the swagger.
There are better players out there, but nobody puts more of himself into the game.
Dude told Fox his favorite book was "The Cat in the Hat." That's a baller.
Third highest MU offensive value added season this century behind #3 and Sam. For a little guy, big shoes to fill.

And that his ideal date is wherere ever she wants to go. Classy dude
One of the best offensive players I've had the pleasure to watch at Marquette. Also one of the worst defenders, but he still was maybe my favorite player on this year's team. Like others, hope he gets a shot at the NCAA tournament.
Will miss watching him play.

Rowsey is a once in every 20 year type talent. I have really enjoyed him the last two years as well.

Once in 20 years? He's a good player. But we are in a LOOOOOOT of trouble if we don't have anyone as good as Rowsey in the next 20 years.
Rowsey leading us to the final 4

This.
I truly enjoyed watching Rowsey play these last 2 years, but let's not get TOOOO overboard!
I mean, among the Warriors of the last 20 years: DWade, Jae, JFB, Lazar, etc.
Again, glad we had Rowsey. But please.
Rowsey is the man. 100% effort, drive swagger, toughness a pleasure to watch play, a pleasure to have in a Marquette uni, And a tribute to college basketball. To you, Andrew Rowsey, I appreciate you bing you.
All the best to you!

To be fair, Hermie didn't claim he was an all-time great like Wade. He claimed he was a "once in every 20 year type talent." Of which, his talent was offense and which many stats put forth here have supported his claim...such as offensive value add. It just so happens that another one of those offensive talents (Sam) also plays with him. Coincidence?
I'm not ready to post in this thread yet. I hope to see at least 6 more games of Rowsey in blue and gold

Hear! Hear!
Absolutely love that kid. One of a kind. He will be sorely missed next year and he's definitely one of those players this fanbase willl never forget
Andy's got some stones. I'd take him on my team any day.
In a few years, we will remember the shooting and have forgotten the defense. Thanks, Andrew.

But you just posted in this thread....
;)
If I could replace one starter for one game with Andrew Rousey, I would have replaced Junior Cadougan for him on March 30, 2013 in the regional final against Syracuse. My thinking is that Rousey would have been able to shoot over that zone Syracuse played and it might have opened up some things for the others. We also would have scored more than 39 points and might have taken the game down to the wire. However at 5-10, he would have been the shortest player on that team and Triche and Carter-Williams might have had better games than they did. Either way, that MU team couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat that year from 3pt range so he would have been a welcome addition. The shooting would have got him on the floor but his defense would not have kept him on the floor.
Gonna miss his swagger next year. Also going to miss the ability to hit bonkers shots from deep to bail us out of a bad offensive possession. However, hopefully we dont need the "bail out" shots next year. Good news is that the freshman got some really good experience this year, hopefully they continue to grow drastically into next year.
Hoping he can work some magic regardless if MU is in the NCAA or NIT tournament. Really fun player to watch. Small guards are always the most crafty and talented players on the court. Think he's got a bright future of basketball wherever his path takes him.

So as I recall, a month after I was born, Marquette was the last team into the NCAA Tournament and won the title. We could very well be the last team in again, and there is another just-born Microbrew...

Half of the board would still find a reason to complain.

Yep. Half this board are Wojo teat sucklers and the other half are formula bottle feeders which causes them colic. Good balance breeds stability.
Advice: Eat Arby's
I would love for Wojo to piss me off and run the board after sneaking in. Problem is, the sneaking in is in the NIT.

Dude. If we do not make the tournament we will be a 1 seed in the NIT. 2 at absolute worst. We are not sneaking into the NIT.
Hopefully we can sneak into the real tournament.
"Anywhere she wants to go."
Dude
Everyone sneaks into NIT, it is not a legit tourney at this point. It is a tourney that you do not want to play in.

You mean we're good enough to win the national title but we can't beat DePaul? How does a national title team lose at home to friggin' Georgia?
Rowsey has been a wild ride, hit some absolutely ridiculous shots with ridiculous frequency. I hope he gets a chance to keep doing it for another week or 2.
Best hair in the country. We'll miss ya from deep!

Maybe we should ask the North Carolina team that lost by double-digits to a Georgia Tech squad that finished 13-19 last year.

And this would piss you off because...?
Rowsey is such a stud. Will definitely miss him!
Have said it before but best way to know how good a player is, talk to guys who play the game. Rowsey is very well respected by anyone he has played with since the day he arrived on campus. Again, going to be very hard to replace his game changing shooting.

Exactly.
Some on this board do not want wojo/MU under wojo to succeed.

My comment meant I would love to see Wojo run the board. It was joke that based off some poster saying that if Wojo ran the board there would still be folks on here mad at him.
Before you want to jump on someone, taking the Fxxking time to read the thread. Use your head, why would I be pissed off if they won the NC? I hope you two are smarter than that, but honestly, not sure.

From the guy who doesn't want a 40+% 3 point shooter to take 3s?
I'll take things you've said with a HUGE grain of salt
