It is the end of the Providence / Creighton game. The ball goes out of bounds and the refs spend a long time reviewing the play. The call was off the Creighton player, Providence ball. The replay shows the ball did indeed just nick the finger of the Providence player so the announcers and eventually the refs thought Creighton ball. However, before the ball hit a person or the ground or anything out of bounds the Creighton player tried to save it chasing it out of bounds and knocking it to the floor out of bounds. He was the last person to touch the ball before it hit anything or anyone out of bounds.
How is that not off Creighton? Isn't the ball live until it hits something out of bounds? What am I missing here.......
We're talking about this in the bubble thread but yes, looks to be a terrible call.
Only thing I could think of was that the ref made the call before the ball actually went out of bounds. He made the call initially as if it hit the line, so can they only review that far? Idk.
The entire out of bounds sequence should have been reviewed. Just a horrible call (and miss) by the refs.
Thanks. I thought I was losing my mind. Not impressed with the FS1 announcers. They miss a lot.
Have a hard time keeping up with the bubble thread....:)

Agreed! Watching it live, I was completely floored that nobody seemed to notice the CU player.
They also messed up the out of bounds call in the Marquette game after reviewing it.
Rough week for the refs on replays.
Well, at least PC got revenge by winning.
Yes, very glad Providence won. Even though I suppose that was not the best outcome for MU. Whatever, they deserved it.
Didn't see it. Did they call Creighton "cray-in?"
He jumped from out of bounds, doesn't that make him out of play?

Still an active player and can be hit by ball etc. As far as I know.
I wonder what the uproar is here as I'm watching the same game. good catch! His foot was out of bounds as he touched the ball as I went back to see it. FS1's Justin Kutcher had a great catch as it did hit Jackson rings finger.

I'm not worried about the Kutcher and Jackson not catching it. They call a good game. The sad and important people are the guys paid to catch it, did not. Plus, they took way to much time to review it.

Yep.
