Wojo's salary hasn't been made public. I would guess he'd be on the list if it was.

I guarantee wojo would be on this list. MU doesn't have to disclose

None of the other Big East schools are public either. Wojo's base pay is $1.673M with $140K in bonuses.

IF these numbers are accurate (big IF) I worry about the Big East long term.

We've been hearing that since the formation of the new BE. The BE is just fine.

Have coaches' salaries gone up a lot in the last few years? I was thinking Crean was making top 5-10 money with about $1.5 million in his last year or two at MU. Am I off on that?

I remember looking for this a while ago and could't find anything. Where'd you get that number?

I remember that Buzz had multiple sources of income ... he had his Team Buzz thing and others.
I'm wondering if this is a private school thing. Maybe Wright has other sources of income that does not qualify for this list.
Otherwise, you are correct, he does seem relatively underpaid.
Wow, I guess against all odds (given how high his pay is) Ohio State has gotten a good return on Holtmann's first year.
If these numbers are accurate, how did Mack turn Ohio State down?

Because he knew he had a potential final four team, coaching at his alma mater. Don't see him going anywhere for quite some time. Maybe if the NBA comes calling, but he's made it clear he at his dream job.
Only 76 coaches in Division I are paid? I think some of the coaches should be taking money from agents under the table.
GoFundMe for Wojo anyone?

This is the amount on the 990, Wojo has additional comp outside Marquette such as camps, radio show, etc.. My guess is he is at least in the top 50.
Does anyone else find Chris Holtmann's pay offensive given the other names at the top of that list?
So his salary, according to that incomplete list, is somewhere around 50. So the ROI isn't that far off.

It's what they had to pay him to get him to move down a level or two.

USA Today has historically had weak editorial standards. So not necessarily a complete and comprehensive report. Although in general gives a good idea of what is going on.

Did we really fall from offering one of the highest salaries in college hoops to just cracking the top 50? Seems like a pretty big drop-off. My best guess is that the info we have on Wojo is incomplete. Although, if it's accurate, I wonder what shift occurred within the minds of the admin that we don't need to be a top payer anymore?
I'm sure they are ready to be a top payer as soon as Wojo earns it......
Crean wasn't getting top dollar until he made the final 4.......Buzz didn't start out with a high salary.

Buzz started low and worked his way up. Wojo also started low. Career assistants don't start at the top of the pay scale.
I'll wait for Herman Cain to release the details on Wojo's salary.

Wtf?
Herman says he's well connected with the inner-workings, behind-the-scenes stuff at MU, with regards to the men's bball program (and, apparently, much more in all of the administration).
AND
Ners backed Herman up.
Are you saying they're both lying??
According to the latest tax form on file with Guidestar, Wojo was paid about $1.8 million in 2015. He doesn't seem to make use of an independent contractor like "Team Buzz Williams."
Well, whatever Wojo is making, he deserves a huge raise as a reward for this fantastic season with all his own studs. He is the man, and we need to keep him well compensated for his stellar results.
Wojo also hasn't used his media guys to float his name for every job to get a raise. Granted he hasn't had enough success for that luxury.
