Leave it to Rahm Emanuel and the "leadership" of DuhPaul to somehow come up with a stadium experience so awful that fans left longing for the good ole days at the poorly located, dumpy, always empty Allstate Arena.
Between major issues with parking (made us park a mile away), clumsy ticket window layout, metal detectors that led to 15 minute lines to get in, all collectively led me to want to turn around and go home. However once I got in the experience somehow became worse yet as the lack of space everywhere led to a uni-line on every level and often you weren't sure if you were in the concession line, bathroom line, or just trying to get to your seat line. There is an old saying in economics that you get what you pay for and DumbPaul is probably trying figure out where they get their refund even though they didn't pay a dime to get this horrible arena built. Not surprised there were even less DePaul alumni and students at this arena than there were at sparsely filled Allstate Arena.
Of course once I got in at least Wojo didn't disappoint and provided me the same horrible basketball experience I'm fully used to at this point. Somehow Marquette went from being only one of only four teams with three consecutive Sweet 16's or better in 2013 (Ohio State, Florida and Kansas were the others) to not winning a single tournament game since. In spite of all of this not one head has rolled in spite of millions of dollars in salaries and a plethora of empty seats at Marquette home games. Even the lowly Bears fire their coaches every three years when they lose in spite of decades of poor personnel choices.
Of course in between poor basketball seasons the MU admin "brilliantly" announces their stances for far left causes in spite of the fact that these stances and their accompanying rhetoric hinder their white male, private sector alumni base who fund the lion share of their financial support. Then in turn opt to charge new students and their parents more than the nation's median income for a single year of "education" in such useful courses as Faith History and Revelation, Violence in Shakespeare and Animal Psychology.
Not surprising that both schools are finding themselves on hard times after making so many dumb strategic decisions over the years. One thing is clear is that if a dumb decision can be made by the current leadership at Marquette and DePaul it will be made every single time.
Any time you end up miserable I count that as a plus so some good came out of the game.

Don't you realize Wojo came from Duke? A sweet sixteen seems as remote as a Bob Dukiet led team! Rowsey chucking up crazy 3 point shots doesn't seem like very good designed plays. Maybe someone can point out what I'm missing here but I don't see them getting better anytime soon.

Do you not know a single transition phrase other than "in spite?"
Reveal that character.

Nonsense! Marc Trestman was only given two years!
