As loaded as the Big East has been this year, in terms of outstanding individual seasons, I think Sam Hauser's has been one of the 11 best. He deserves more recognition.

Amen.

I have a sick feeling that they'll give Macura the last slot, even though Sam is more deserving.

Great point. Thanks for the detail.

Agreed on all points, including that it's probably unlikely Sam gets on either of those teams. I definitely feel he's our best player currently in terms of offense and defense.

I am sure Sam will be on it next season and if he doesn't go pro, his senior season.

Agreed. Just look at the 19 players Andrei identified as the top contenders for All Big East.
9 are seniors (Bluiett, Rowsey, Martin, Rodriguez, Foster, Macura, Carrington, Delgado, Cartwright)
5 at least have a punchers' chance of going pro (Brunson, Bridges, Ponds, Thomas, Govan)
That means anywhere between 9-14 of the best players in the BEast this season will be gone next season. And that doesn't even account for possible transfers.
I doubt all 5 of the possible early entrants could go, but imagine if they did. Marquette would have 2 of the top 5 returning players in the Big East.

Agreed, and based on value add it's not even close. Hauser has calculated as top 50 in the country try and top 5 in the big east for a while, so he'd be be on a traditional 5-member all conference team. Mancura ranked 113 last year, project to rank 64th this season, but is falling well short of that at 259th. Too often these are so based in reputation coming into the season.
