RPI Forecast, which uses Jeff Sagarin prediction model, has Marquette favored in 6 games, a slight home dog vs Creighton, and road underdogs at Creighton and Seton Hall.
I think all of these games are winnable, especially if MU plays with the same energy and focus that they had vs Nova on Sunday. I don't expect 9-0 but 7-2 is possible, 6-3 is very achievable, and 5-4 should be accomplished.
Anything less than 5-4 will be a disappointment. I think that is enough to get us in the dance but it'll be close. We can't afford too many more duds like we had at Xavier. One dud at most.

If we are going to have a dud please be at Creighton or SH.
5-4: Sweating and possibly dependent on winning a game in MSG.
6-3: Dancing. Book it.
7-2: Debating seeds....
8-1: Possible 5-6 seed.
Does anyone have MU's RPI and SOS from last year? I'm interested what our profile was on Selection Sunday.

I don't have the exact numbers but our RPI was in the low 60s, and IIRC, SOS was worse.
Our computer numbers will be significantly better this year at 9-9 (probably even at 8-10) versus last year at 10-8.
Yesterday would have been huge. Now must win the next two, or it is gonna be a big uphill battle. Next two games would add two more wins over tourney teams. Must win remaining home games!

Not must wins. 5-4 for a solid chance, 6-3 for definitely in. Doesn't matter how you get there.

That's what I thought. 9-9 should get it done. Now let's get two wins out of the way this week.
I'd love to see us go 4-0 in our remaining home games. But odds are we'll lose at least one of them. How we do in our 5 remaining road contests could be the deciding factor.
I see us going 7-2 in the second half of conference play. That should put us in 3rd place in the Big East as has been my thought process all year.
