I don't want to look too far ahead, and overall it's a pretty dang meaningless subject anyways, but could Marquette have 2 Preseason First Team All Big East players in Markus and Sam? I think coaches obviously understand how good the big 3 of Markus, Sam, and Andrew are. Rowsey obviously graduates so he won't be around. It seems like most teams we play lose some/most of their top talent (Providence, Butler, Seton Hall, Nova could lose some guys to the NBA but could also return everyone, Creighton loses one of their top two and the other could go to the NBA), Markus is obviously a dominant offensive player who could be First Team this season, and Sam is top 20 in basically every statistical category.
When is the last time MU had 2 players on a preseason First Team All Conference (or end of season)?
one game at a time.
Considering Jalen Brunson, Mikel Bridges, Shamorie Ponds, Omari Spellman, Khyri Thomas, and Jesse Govan could all be back, we could also have zero.
Isn't it considered common knowledge that Brunson is gone? He almost left after last season from what I have heard.

Unfortunately, I think it's more likely that we have 0 than 2, but I think the smart money is on just Markus making a preseason all-conference team.

It's January, I'm not counting anyone as gone this early.
Bridges and Thomas should be gone. Brunson and Spellman could be gone. And I think most coaches would take Markus and Sam over Ponds and Govan.
