MU actually jumped one spot to 45th during other games being played (keep in mind mu is now 0-4 against teams currently in the ap top 10, with only the Georgia loss outside the top 10), then jumped all the way to 38th after the win. Makes mu a 10-seed by that measurement, with the 8 teams behind us making the tournament.
The defense was the best in years except for one glaring weakness. Another 80% allowed from the free throw line, giving us the 5th worse defense in the country at 77.4% of free throws made. When Wojo can learn to come up with a scheme to hold our opponents below 70% on their free throws made then I will accept him as our coach.
Looks like our opponents make all the easy free throws!
The student section sucks, ai?na?
When I looked earlier today, Pomeroy had us finishing 17-13 (8-10). After the SHU win, he has us 19-11 (10-8). I know they're meaningless, but that would definitely have us safely on the inside of the field.
Definitely would have us in! Appreciate the comment in meaningless :-)

Marquette with a needle moving win at home against Seton Hall. Golden Eagles pound Pirates by 20. This win will carry major weight on Selection Sunday.

Nice, especially considering how he spent the morning talking about great teams winning on the road and that was why Seton Hall was a team to watch.
They still are, but he definitely didn't expect us to beat them.
Can we lobby to get Rothstein on the committee?
Bilas too, while we're at it. He's practically our publicity director!
