It seems that most announcers this year are terrible. They do a lousy job of play by play calling, either by talking about no game stuff or just not calling the action.

Len Elmore is pretty good.
I thought the other guy was fine other than than the Hauser slip up.

Rocky Mount sounded familiar - I knew some famous hoops player came from there, so I looked it up in the next time out.

The second time he definitely said "Rocky Mountain, North Carolina." I believe it's a suburb of Stevens Point.

I think Elmore is terrible. I mean, he couldn't figure out where the three point lines were. And he whines constantly about what used to be. "Feeding the post is really a lost art." Yes. You know why? It's not 1975 any longer.

The only thing I can think off was he confused Sam with Andrew at UNC-Asheville. I swear at one point he called out "Howsey" on a made shot. Maybe Andrew and Sam are the new "GarPax"...

Len Elmore said at least five times Howard can only go left... and then when Howard went right he said Howard is good either way seemingly forgetting his previous comment.
I would take a hungover Dickey Simpkins puking into his mic over Elmore.

Which of course begs the question why he doesn't know that Andrew is not from North Carolina, he's actually from Lexington, Virginia and simply went to school in Asheville.
Also, looking it up, Rocky Mount is over 300 miles away from Asheville. Really an inexplicable error to make repeatedly.

About the same distance from Milwaukee to Marquette, MI. Maybe there is a perimeter of stupidity these guys have leaway on?

Stephen Bardo is the most Pro MU announcer . I like it when he covers our games. He understands the personalities of the kids very well.

On road trips South, Rocky Mount is the sign for that you are sick of seeing on I-95 because you never seem to get there.
The only two worse are South of the Border and JR. They are legit worse.....

Len Elmore is bad. His 3-point-line musings were humiliating - sounded completely uninformed and moronic. He wasn't good 10 years ago, and he has slipped noticeably since.
Having said all that, I don't find him as impossible to listen to as Dickey. I have to turn down the volume to barely audible whenever Dickey does one of our games. I think it's mostly because of all of his stupid little asides like "hashtag."
Elmore is just bad. Dickey is bad AND he wants to be the star of the show.

I agree with this analysis. If only Gus Johnson could do all MU games. I think Bardo is probably the best of the regulars.

Walton has been bad for years, or as he might scream, "Horrrrible!"
But I think the new, high-on-air-all-the-time Walton is pretty funny. (Though not intentionally funny).
Agree with a couple others that Bardo is the best of this bunch. I thought he was pretty solid for ESPN, too.
He'll make a mistake every now and then - who among us doesn't? (except for Smuggles and chicos, of course) But he is usually informed, gets his points across and doesn't engage in too much on-air silliness.
