I could perhaps do that.  TV situation is decent? Haven't made to Sisyphus yet.

It's within walking distance (Well, when it's not -9) of my downtown place. Went for the uw-Madison game and plan to be there Saturday.

Oh, I'm fine in that weather. It's just the chicks I take home from the bar don't want to walk in the extreme cold so I let them order an uber for us.

——
Not sure if they'll have cable setup... last time they used FoxSportsGo & a big projector. Sound was great, video was fine.

We get the Taproom - private for MU ppl. Lots of tables & a bar. Super easy to order up a beer(s), which were all good. Two of the Brewery ppl are MU, which is a big bonus.

JJJJJ & others, let Us know if you're coming out. Chili and I will be the guys surfing Scoop

On the other hand, walking home in the cold gives you the opportunity to use the "shrinkage" excuse.

True, but I've got others I can use (hot tub, lack of sleep, injured playing b-ball, etc.)

I was thinking about going.  Haven't attended any events in many years but kids are older now and demand less attention.  Are the turnouts usually good?

The Wisconsin turnout was very good, pretty full (60ish ppl? I'm bad at guessing that type of thing though). With it being Georgetown & a holiday weekend, who knows. I'd guess anywhere from 25 to 60.

But as RC says, the heavy hitters will be there!

Can't make it - we're taking my in-laws to the gophers game tomorrow which involves wheelchairs and hassle and a trip out to the east side.  Will be lucky to make it home before halftime, even though the gophs play at 1.

Have a beer or two for me.

Metro mobility. Or Uber if you really don't like them.

The HS team I'm (assistant) coaching is in a tournament in Wilmington NC. (We're playing at Laney HS, where Jordan went to school, and folks are reminded about that constantly with the imagery around the school.) We made the championship game, and it is at 3 tomorrow. The MU-GT game will start right about the time we are beginning our 3+ hour ride home.

I have loaded the Fox Sports Go app on my phone and I'm hoping I can watch it while we roll through the NC countryside. We'll see!

Wind chill of -35 builds character.  Is character building still part of an MU education?
Do we now need covered walkways with sun lamps?

Good morning from Minneapolis. It's 9:40 and the sun has heated things up to negative 11.

Can't remember which year it was, but we lived in Minny from 1985-94 and one year there was a 30+ day stretch in which the temperature never once even got to zero. It was record-setting and made the national news.

The day it finally got there - and warmed up all the way to 20 - our kids and their friends were running around outside in shorts and t-shirts! Good, clean, Minneapolis fun!!

I was there from '87-90 and I think the winter of 1987-88 had a cold spell like that ^

It's civil war time at my house, and we'll be staying in to watch.  This is the first Warriors-Hoyas matchup since my daughter started at GU in the fall.  It's time for her to learn that while I rooted for the Hoyas during VB season, BB season is different.  I hope Marquette beats them by 30.

I'm open to suggestions for wagers.  Anyone on the board ever wager with one of your kids who went to a school that plays MU?

Doing dishes.  Making breakfast.  Cleaning the dog poop in the yard.

Good Luck with your Champ game.  Bring Home a Winner!

We did! Jumped to an early lead, struggled in the middle of the game to fall behind by 2, but got it together in the 4th quarter to win by 10. We're 13-1, best start in school history, and ranked #1 in the Charlotte metro area. Very proud of our girls and our great head coach.

And then, on the way home, I did the best I could to watch MU on FSGo. The signal wasn't great and I kept losing it, but I did see a couple of Rowsey's big 3s! Looking forward to Wed against Providence; my girls tip off at 6 ET, so I'll probably miss the first half of MU. But I hope to have another double-header win!

We were at my parents in NW Wisconsin about 1989 and I remember it being about -35 degrees. Could not start my car for days  until a heat gun was used on the oil pan, a hair dryer on the battery and a radiant heater was underneath the engine to warm things up.

My car was equipped for the Tropics -- Chicago!

Congratulation.  Just such a great thrill to be involved in all those young girls victory.  OK you know what to do. Good Luck Wed.   Bring it Home.
