Listened to the Lindenwood game on 540 with Tony Smith filling in for Mac. He was outstanding. Great insights from a point guards point of view. While he was rooting for MU, he frequently identified things he felt were poor decisions - but always presented in a "nice" way. Good rapport with Homer and smooth delivery. Don't know if his gig with Fox and the Bucks would allow it, but Tony would be my No. 1 choice to replace Mac once he heads to Texas.
I made a little fun of him for sounding so young, but he did a good job yesterday. And, he picked Anim for STOG

Then I like 'um
So it was on the radio? Tony is a well spoken guy. I'm assuming they haven't picked a permanent Mac replacement yet, correct?
I believe Tony Smith doesn't work for the Bucks on FS Wisconsin anymore.

The Bucks' current website says he's still doing pre- and postgame.

Those were some lean years, the Bucks were always terrible in NBA Jam.

I agree with skepticism, but I loved Vin Baker as a kid. He was my first favorite basketball player. He was an All-Star 3 of the 4 years he was with the Bucks.

Yeah he was a good player no doubt. But this is a franchise that hands out retired number like candy and I doubt it ever crossed their mind to retire Baker's.

The link I have doesn't say that. Plus, so far I have not seen him on Bucks boardcast.

He was on the Roundtable show with Dennis Krause and they did not introduce him with any Bucks affiliation...so I assumed that he is no longer doing any Bucks telecast-related work.

Time for another "legend" debate. ;)
Tony was fine. Good man. Quality player. Great representative of the university.

Very good show. I notice that as well.

I remember him being in a few of my engineering classes.
I would also remark to myself, "Best of luck to him that he's taking these difficult classes and then spending all that time practicing and traveling for basketball..... How does he do it?"
Might be late to the party here, why is Mac moving to TX? When is he moving?
It was a promise to his wife once the last of the older kids finished high school.
