Title: MU Scoop 2017-18 Pre-Season Poll
Post by: MUFlutieEffect on November 01, 2017, 08:32:41 PM
Ladies and Gents,

Below is a link to the second annual MU Scoop Pre-Season Poll.  Please take the following survey ONCE and only ONCE (I could tie it to a Google Account and lock it at one submission each, but in the interest of ease-of-use, I'm leaving it open and trusting that Scoopers can be at least a tad bit responsible).  Please answer based on what you PREDICT will happen (not what you WANT to happen).

Responses are completely anonymous (the form won't collect your Google Account) and the results will be posted to Scoop.

Last year we had ~140 responses - would be great to eclipse that this year!

I'm Not Changing.

Howard had a crappy game but we all know what he can do. These things happen.  Other than him, there were a lot of positives offensively:  Anim and Cheatham will be strong contributors, great rebounding, Sam is smooth as silk, low turnovers, Elliott looked pretty good, especially with his energy.

Rowsey and John were out. Losing your PG and leader throws off your team dynamics. John will contribute when healthy but it didn't really matter versus Lindenwood. MU will be in a seven man rotation until
Froling is active.

As has been the case with all Wojo's teams, offense isn't the issue but defense is. That was the most concerning thing Saturday as he has stated that is a focus. A sample of one says that was not good progress against past history. Not a fan of his Duke man defensive scheme with his talent (foot speed).

That said, this was all built into the stock price.  MU better than DePaul and Georgetown and will improve as the year goes on. It will be a rough start as expected.

No doubt Defense was disappointing, but to me Communications is a very large element of Defense.  And if one of the 5 is not hearing or Talking there most likely be a negative domino effect.  With many "non-starter" line changes I think that become increased.  I believe Wojo will have some ammunition to drive that home in the film room.

Exhibition Game are teaching tools, and not meant for the consumer.

Thanks for pointing that out - my mistake.  Will probably opt to leave it off at this point, given we already have ~50 responses.

That said, only 50?!?!  Hoping we can at least break the century mark...

After Feb 3rd we play two home games in the next month.  That's not good.

Yeah, I don't know if this is accurate, but my observations is some Posters on the critical side of the "Team/Wojo" fence seem vey reluctant to Predict on these Threads.  Still trying to figure that out if true.

Might be.  Even still, definitely optional to enter your Scoop ID, so all of you scared of eating crow in March can submit anonymously.

There is, and Flutie sold it to UDPride a while ago.
Good job, all you rubes who fell for his phishing scam (not the Vermont kind of Phishing, BTW).
