Is there a reason why they rarely show replays during the games at the BC? There have been many times where it would be nice to see a replay of a close play but you never get a replay.
If a replay shows that in fact a bad call was made against the home team the crowd will become angry towards the officals. I'd guess it is to cut back on some of the rowdiness which would ensue.
In one sport (I believe it's Major League Baseball) they actually have a rule where they can't show replays of close calls for that very purpose.
The Bradley Center does a good job of putting replays up, even close calls. The only thing they don't show are the plays where players were injured.
You're probably right, but that's a bunch of BS. We're consumers. Show us what the people at home watching on TV get to see over and over.
There were at least 5 times last night I looked up, hoping for a replay. Bupkis.
I know that some football stadiums won't show replays because it could affect whether a coach will challenege a play or not, but I see no reason not to show them in bball.
And we all know it's more fun being angry at the refs, so that's a bad excuse for not showing replays
