New sign in the window of campus Real Chili:
"Real Chili
It's not just for carnivores anymore!
Tru our new
VEGETARIAN CHILI
Our new vegetarian chili is
soy, dairy, gluten and GMO free!"
The apocalypse is upon us.
F*cking millennials...
Blasphemy
This post has potential.
Soy, dairy, gluten and GMO free?
Sounds more like water than chili....
Not my Real Chili

Oh how the mighty have fallen!
Duzn't say grain-free doe, hey?
My wife loves Real Chili and has been vegetarian since our last visit so she will be happy to hear she can continue to enjoy RC when we visit Milwaukee.
When in Washington DC, my family always visits Hard Times Cafe in Alexandria.
They've always had a vegetarian chili to the delight of my wife otherwise, the kids and I would never get to eat there............
No one will buy the chit.
I was just there last Friday morning. I didn't notice. I'll have my frosh nephew register my position on the topic.

EXACTLY my sentiment on the matter.
Some of the best vegetarian chili I ever ate was made by a vegetarian... it was a family recipe that used extra spice to compensate for lack of meat, but on top of that - I forget exactly what it was - she didn't have a sense of smell or something that affected her sense of taste, so everything she made was amplified, including the spiciness. We had a small gathering of friends one night where her husband drew a skull and crossbones on the chili pot with a sharpie marker... at first we thought it was a joke, but later in the night everyone agreed that his lawyer training got the best of him and it was the least dickish way he could create a liability disclaimer.
That said, I don't expect RC to ghost pepper the shiite up, but it seems intriguing enough to try once.
that my friends ain't REAL chili
what's weird is i am imbibing on a big bowl of my world famous as we speak-made with LOTS of chuck roast and ground beef...bring your own popsicles ;D
Hearing kale chili is next up.

This exactly. In my 20s, I loved RC, but now it's basically searing death in my intestines.
That sign went up over a year ago. Would never eat that crap.

We can only hope. While walking through the student union at my daughter's school when I dropped her off a couple weeks ago, I overheard a student complaining loudly to a friend about the Chick Fil A that they put in the union because it didn't have enough vegan options. Never mind the fact that it was literally right next to a salad restaurant and a deli that both had numerous vegan options.

Sounds like something that comes out rather than goes in!!!!!!!
Times change. Adapt or die. As long as the original recipe remains intact, there is absolutely no down side to expanding horizons.

Right? It's not like they're taking the original recipe off the menu.
Proper legal disclaimer would force the sign to read:
Real and UnReal Chili
