Poll
Question:
Which Player Is Most Likely To Have A Breakout Season
Option 1: Markus
Option 2: Sam
Option 3: Matt
Option 4: Froling
Option 5: Sacar
Option 6: Haanif
Option 7: Andrew
Option 8: Cam
Option 9: Deon
Which returning player, including eligible transfers, is most likely to have a break out season.
If Marcus or Andrew are our leading scorers is it really a breakout season?
They both averaged double digits
What constitutes breakout for Cam or Deon? Scoring in double figures? As in 10 points for the entire season?
No Freshmen?
I voted for Heldt as the returning guy most likely to show a marked improvement from last season, which is how I chose to define breakout. The only other logical choice to me is Sacar, but I have no idea what we are looking at with him. The rest of the guys were good or better last season and would have to be fantastic to break out.
If he's healthy I'm expecting big things from Growing. Kid looked decent off the bench for a very good SMU team.... And that's when he was out of shape. He put in work to get himself in shape this summer

Quite the contrary - love the auto-correct. As far as I'm concerned, he should hitherto be referred to only as "Growing."

Henry Ellenson? Maybe, but he's trying to avoid the "sophomore jinx" with the Pistons, not Marquette.
Well it has to be Greg Elliot, since you do not even have him on the list.

I didn't put freshman on the list . We need to see their baseline. Everyone has different expectations of the freshman. The freshman will make this poll next summer.

How do you define a breakout season? Is it someone that plays way better than expected? It seems no one here is expecting anything out of Elliot.
Sacar could be a huge factor

My definition of breakout season is taking your game to a meaningfully higher level So for example, last year, Sam was a starter and solid contributor. If Sam becomes an All Big East type player this year I would define that as breakout. If he simply improves his stats consistent with growth and experience I would not consider that breakout.

If they double up their points and add a bunch of assists and play great defense... then yes.
fwiw I picked Markus.
