Photos by Charlie Wojcheichowski. Wojo sent out his kid for some recon. Cut him some slack over picture quality.
Also, why is DePaul able to schedule Notre Dame and we can't?

Chicago market and away game boost for ND for almost a guaranteed W.

True enough. I suppose it might be worrisome for us if ND actually agreed to start playing us again. :-\

Actually I disagree. If we beat ND that would not be considered a bad loss or they beat us on our home court that would be a good road win. Playing DePaul would not equate to a good win, but would equate to a really bad loss.

As much as DePaul sucks, in terms of the metrics they never really can be that bad of a loss. Being in the BEast props up their stats enough to make it worth taking on the 5% chance you lose a road game to them, especially to play for alums in Chicago.
As long as the new arena is better than a dumpster with seats, it's an upgrade.....
They've done a great job documenting the whole thing with their Time-Lapse Construction (https://app.oxblue.com/open/clarkconstruction/mccormickplace) website
Click on one of the pictures/views, and then click the "Play" button on the bottom of your screen. The new Hilton going up next to their arena is a beautiful addition to the neighborhood, imo.
ND sucks

According to Realtime RPI, they were 236 this past season. That would qualify as a bad loss.

Is this place easier to get to for Marquette fans than the Rosemont? Will Marquette be able to pack the place like they did at Rosemont?

Varies. I'd guess the northern contingent might think twice, while it may draw more south side alumni. I'd be more interested to see them play in a nice place other than that dump in Rosemont.

On a weekend, perhaps. Lots of unknowns. On a Wednesday evening, forget it.

Define packed. Past few games I've been to I'd estimate 3-5,000 MU fans in a 15,000+ seat stadium. It just FEELS like we packed it because the MU to DePaul fan ratio is like 8:1. So funny
I'd estimate the MU contingent will stay the same or increase, while the DePaul contingent goes up a bit. So maybe the ratio goes down to 3 or 2:1, with a larger total audience. Just a guess
It looks small. What will be the seating capacity? 8000?
