I've always judged a drummer based on how well they synced with the bassist. You get that chemistry right and you can put any other two idiots in front and have a decent band.
Moon/Entwistle and Bonzo/JPJ are the gold standards. Chad Smith/Flea, Grohl/Novoselic, and Nick Mason/Waters have close to that same chemistry.
On their own Neil Pert (SP? I'm not a Rush fan but someone is rightfully going to mention him....) and Stewart Copeland.
Finally, can we agree that the first person to nominate "that guy from Def Leopard" gets banned for the first month of basketball season?*
*mentioning of 'that guy from Def Leopard' in this post does not constitute being the first person to nominate him.
Mick Fleetwood, ai na?

I would Mick Fleetwood and John McVie up there with any rhythm section.

Agreed.
Mick Fleetwood might be the scariest drummer too, after Bonzo.

The drummer from Def Leopard only has one arm.
First thought went to Neil Peart. But Nagini's criterion is much better than mine so I'd have to go Moon in that case.
So many great drummers, pick any one: Terry Bozzio, Carl Palmer, Ginger Baker, Aynsley Dunbar, Sly Dunbar, Billy Cobham, Levon Helm, Tony Williams, Bill Brufurd, Charlie Watts, Ringo

That actually made me laugh.
Baker
Bonham
Moon
Peart
But that is my era
Levon honorable mention for also being lead singer
Danny Carey. End of convo.
Stumpy Pepys, Stumpy Childs, Mick Shrimpton, take your pick.

By that criteria, Phil Collins is up for a nomination too....

Ringo is an very underrated drummer, rated 14th just ahead of Buddy Rich by RS (http://www.rollingstone.com/music/lists/100-greatest-drummers-of-all-time-20160331/ringo-starr-20160325)

Totally agree with the bolded. Sam Fogarino with Carlos D on Turn On the Bright Lights is what always comes to my mind as an example of drummer/bassist chemistry taking an album from very good to great.

NFW.
Ringo has often been dubbed "the luckiest Beatle" for good reason.
Can Ringo do a 5/7 beat?
Can you? Irving could. Made Bingo great.
the professor-neil peart and john bonham
No one mentioned Stewart Copeland yet?

As I posted, Ringo is underrated and like Charlie Watts, 4 drums is all he needs, they don't play with gigantic rigs like Bozzio or Peart etc.
What do other drummers think?

Do you see any of the videos on this page? My guess is yes except T-Bone's.
In this case it stems from the method T-Bone used when posting the video. IOW, we all get a big white square. Some modifications to the Youtube url need to be made for their videos to embed here.

This is fantastic for me, not because of the drummer, but because we were listing to a blog radio episode (gorilla vs. bear or aquarium drunkard) when this song came on. It both made me look into the Shaggs (quirkily fantastic) and is my 8yr old 'go to' song to annoy his older brother.

The plan to screw with Mac users is working then...
I think I made all the necessary alterations, but gave up.
That guy from the Barbarians who had a hook. They were in the TAMI show. I think his name was Moulty. The Ramones referenced him in "Do You Remember Rock N Roll Radio?" :
"Will you remember Jerry Lee,
John Lennon, T. Rex and old Moulty?
It's the end, the end of the 70's
