MU getting some very positive PR in this Bulls Celtics series. Butler, Wade and Crowder all doing well. Hopefully Wojo and Company are selling this point to the recruits. Bulls up 2-0 have won both on the road.
It is a positive for MU. However, they are not Wojo players, so how much of a positive is it for him?
Buzz on recruiting trail can point out how he got Butler & Crowder in the NBA. It might be more of a benefit for Buzz than it is Wojo.

It is beneficial for both cause both can spin a story however they want.

Tom Izzo had nothing to do with Earvin "Magic" Johnson , however MSU still uses Magic as a recruiting tool.

Yep. I remember the media guides when TC was coach at MU...and they had references to MU greats and to players TC had helped to recruit to MSU. Mateen Cleaves comes to mind. Likewise, the guides still had guys like Novak and Wade prominently highlighted even after Buzz was there...and I suspect Crean also used them in the IU media guides at the same time....

Jae has been pretty damn meh
Jae is shooting a little worse than normal, but that's pretty much what Jae is. A hustle, junk ball kind of player. Don't get me wrong - he is much better than I thought he would be at this level.
"Marquette is a viable road to the NBA."
That's what you tell recruits and their mommies, and that's why it's beneficial to have guys in the pros, regardless of who was coach when the players were at MU.
Wojo has Henry, and he can say, "See, and we're continuing this great Marquette-to-NBA tradition."
Good recruiters - which Wojo obviously is - can spin stuff like this to their benefit. Glad we have Jimmy, D-Wade and Jae representin'. Wes and Hank, too.

Pretty sure. Bucks waived him in Feb, his contract is done and he's almost 34.
According to basketballreference.com, he made nearly $22 million in his career. Even if taxes and agents took 2/3rds of that, it's still a cool $7 million for a skinny kid who had only one skill.
And he owes Jeremy Lin at least half of that!!

Yup but that's what I mean these two games. He hasn't been too active

Considering that Jae has to guard Jimmy frequently , I would say he has his hands full. The guy is a starter for a #1 seed playoff team which is very bullish for MU.

But Jimmy and Dwyane starting for the 8 seed is even more Bullish.

Why? Lin missed the last month of the season and the playoffs, Steve played great down the stretch without Lin. He owes Mike Woodson, not Lin.
So, with Steve likely done we're down to 2 MU grads in the NBA now, correct?

Also, Wojo can have Jabari Parker come in for pickup games (when he's healthy) and tell the recruits how Wojo helped him get to the NBA.

Yes, Jimmy Wade and Jae Matthews
Big loss for the bulls - rondo is out with a fractured thumb

I'm not gonna argue with you because it can't be "proven."
IMHO, if Jeremy Lin doesn't create Linsanity, Novak has little impact that season and is probably out of the league after that. I can't "prove" it; it just makes sense to me. (And I doubt I'm alone.)

I think it was more Melo being injured that let guys shine in roles more fitting of them.
When was the last time at least three MU players were in a playoff series (has a team ever had three MU players at the same time?)

Did lazar and Novak play together on a thunder playoff team?
Jae had a solid game tonight. Bulls need to call up Vander from the D League.

Play? Maybe Lazar regaled Steve with ghost stories on the bench, but I doubt they actually played together.

They were two years apart for the Thunder. Buycks and Novak were on the Raptors together, but I don't think they finished the year on the team or made the playoffs.
The Heat played the Knicks in the first round when Novak had his breakout year. I'm having a tough time thinking when 2 MU guys played each other. Maybe Wade and Lazar in the OKC/Miami Finals.
