dustin johnson, who has won 3 straight tournaments heading into the masters, an 11-2 favorite has dropped to 7-1 along with jordan spieth and rory mcilroy after falling down a flight of 3 wooden steps, onto his back.

i changed one of my draft kings teams because of this news; it better be accurate because has been head and shoulders better than anyone else. ok, he may have been on many other rosters as well which in draft kings, can work against you. the key to draft kings is, well, i almost liken it to a lottery-you must pick the right combination of golfers who not only do well, but are chosen by fewer draft kings opponents. that is why i've argued with some that this isn't really gambling. it's luck of the draw with a little skill, awareness and knowledge of the sport.

Anyone else and people are like "dang, thats a really unfortunate accident". But given DJ's history, everyone is playing for the story behind the story. I think Occam's Razor is probably correct here.
Maybe he can play his rounds after he recovers, and have a fan email a video of it to the officials, who can add him to the leader board after the fact.
Wanted DJ as the favorite, easy to bet against.

short of the ferocity of a bingo playin grandmama
That was quite a 9 by Spieth.
As a hack, it's nice to see these guys eff up a hole like that every once in awhile!
i don't remember seeing +6 cut that is one slippery course! add a little wind and it could drive a guy like dj to drink or something
I think Rickie Fowler is going to step up and win this tournament today.
was rooting for a spieth redemption-not even close

Your golf prognostication matches your basketball analysis.
No TV coverage and listening on the radio. Sounds like an awesome finish.

Sergio choking dog peeing down his leg aiina?
Should have been five under in last five holes. Sergio has missed two six footers on 16 and 18 and didn't touch the hole either time. He has missed six putts under ten feet today. Putting is whats its about.
Sergio has to be deflated now and would be shocked if he won this. Good stuff, rooting for Sergio, but Rose is nicest guy on tour and a green jacket would look great with gold medal.
Uh oh, Sergio. Well done. And on Seve's 60th birthday. Congrats
Sergio met his demons and won. Congratulations on a great performance. Great duel with Justin Rose.
Glad he birdied that, made up for other putts and excellent finish with emotion. Good for the game.
garcia started the sergio meltdown, but recovered and earned it. he was an easy guy to root against, but he has matured. good to see he and rose fist bumping each others shots, kooooch knocks in an ace,m signs the ball and gives it to a yute who'll never forget-good stuff all around.
Ta say nothin' 'bout da ladies rootin' on der dudes, hey?

Putting is whats its about.
Actually putting is completely overrated. Only makes up about 15% of a Tour player's scoring on average. Approach shots (40%) and driving (28%) are what it's all about and that's what both Sergio and Rose did beautifully all week. Think about that the next time you're about to go practice your own game...

Puttin' no matta, hey?
putting is like a reliable kicker in football-they're your best friend when they win games. a good up and down sure is prettier than a bogie or a double. jar'in a 35 foot putt always gets the girl, 'ey...na

Old school "drive for show, putt for dough" aina?
Unfortunately new school golf analytics tell us it really should be "drive for dough, putt for peanuts".
Instead of dedicating hours and hours of practice to putting and chipping, practice it enough just to stay sharp, but spend more time improving iron play so you can hit it into a closer make percentage length. Fastest way for an amateur to lower his or her handicap.
Deez cats are so good gettin' outta trouble. Hit the chit outta da ball no matta wear its goes. Can always hold par anyways, hey?
