Is it bad that I REALLY enjoy watching this Michigan team?
Hope they can sneak this away from Slick Rick.
Always liked the way Belein's teams have played. This is no exception.

Yes. And, he adapts to his personnel. He won at WVU with lesser level of athleticism.
Rick has his usual Louisville team: as clueless as it is athletic.

Pitino may have been outcoached by not boxing out effectively down the stretch but the real lesson is that the Michigan players accepted the challenge. These guys aren't the most talented but they have won 7 straight through heart, grit, and will.
That was once a hallmark of Marquette basketball.
Watching Michigan play in March has been something any true aficionado of the college game should celebrate.
At least Rick can make it back to the diner for the usual Blue Plate Special. Dressing on the side optional.
This Duke game is gonna be tough to watch tonight. I tried to rewatch the game last night after the bar. Got to about the 8 minutes mark in the 1H. Decided to watch Walking Dead I was behind on instead. Frustrating game for sure.
Baseball cannot come soon enough.

Based on the way the ACC is performing, I'm giving the game a 60% chance of an upset - and I'd be happy to see Duke lose :)

So Marquette's wins this year were only due to superior talent?

Service is extremely fast.
MSU has some outstanding freshmen.. Bridges, Ward, Langford and Winston. There are other teams like Kentucky with Fox and Monk, Kansas with that Jackson kid, etc, all over the tournament.
Even though they are down, have to be impressed with the freshmen play by MSU and others throughout tournament. Fun to watch the young kids.
Hubris.
They just can't stop Kansas right now.
The officiating in this tournament is criminally bad. Arkansas get gets ousted from the tournament on two back-to-back calls that were so wrong it was laughable. NCAA continues to reward UNC for 30 years of the most blatant academic cheating in the history of the organization.
Shocking, but UNC gets a no-call in the last minute and a half that gives them a basket when it should have been a charge or travel. Helped UNC pull that one out.
AK got royally screwed on two calls at the end.
It was a bad call. People lose credibility when they start implying conspiracy.

I don't think there were any conspiracies, but in general the officiating in the tournament has been dreadful. For the biggest games of the year, I expect better.

It's the NCAA that has zero credibility at this point. They have known about the cheating at UNC that goes back to Dean Smith and they refuse to do anything about it. On its last title team, one of its players had a 4.0 in 16 credits of courses that did not exist. When I was at the NY Post I saw the proof. One of our columnists got the transcripts and we printed the results. NCAA and has done nothing. School should have gotten the death penalty. Conspiracy?

Agreed that the refs were not thinking of UNC's repeated cheating when they blew it. I simply cannot believe that this school continues to thrive when it should be shut down.
After torching MU for 93 on Friday, SC has 23 points in 19 minutes against Duke. Amazing how much size and athleticism matter.

We had 3-point shooters. We did not have the athletes to compete against SC. Hopefully we will next year.
We've now seen the flagrant/no flagrant multiple games. Call flagrant against Seton Hall, not against Wisconsin or USC. Frustrating
Coach K now goes to a zone against SC. He never does that! SC is on Pace for 60 points this half!
K will be going on a rant post -game about the home crowd for USC.
SC feeding off the crowd again tonight. Along with the SC fans they also have the UNC fans cheering for them.
Its complete deriliction of duty to give 7 seed a total home court advantage. Total fail. Sould have sent them any where but there. Its a total screw over for the other teams.

And he should. It is BS to be a 2-seed and playing a 7-seed that only had to travel 100 miles.
Duke is completely falling apart. Makes me feel less bad about losing to these cocks.
How the hell did they lose to Alabama?
Reminds me of the Regional final where George Mason got to play in the Verizon Center in DC - about 10 miles from their campus. The crowd was so pro George Mason that they were home games and they just fed off the crown for two upsets to get to the Final Four. Location of games really does have an impact.
Dozier fouling out could come back to bite SC.
What a tough draw MU got with South Carolina. Wow
Hmm.. maybe (and the board was mostly good about not overreacting) our loss on Friday wasn't all Wojo's fault?

Wojo and K probably caught up for three minutes on Thursday. Enough time for Wojo's mind games to set in; they're so powerful they even affect his mentor.
Is it wrong that this is upsetting because it makes the path easier for Wisconsin?

Maybe the will move the regional to Charleston South Carolina to accommodate the 7 seed cocks?

Chants of U-N-C
The ACC, you know, the greatest conference ever, has 1 team left in the tournament and it took a late rally from UNC. Wonder if that weasel mike decourcy comes out with an acc hit piece tonight.
Wisconsin still has to get past Florida, which is not a good match up for UW. Baylor and USC will be tough matchups too.

They were up to #7 in the nation at one point for a reason. They'll shut Becky down.
Sindarius Thornwell is a great example of the value of having a good neck. He is able to keep his head held up strong and take the ball through traffic with that strong core that he has developed. Having that steady head against MU and Duke has landed the 'Cocks into the Sweet 16.
No.

Respect the process. Becky is a good team who is riding high, despite some people claiming they have choked down the stretch. Any of the 4 teams left could make it to Phoenix.

Duke supporters had 2 extra hours to travel. It's not like they were playing Kansas in KC.
Duke gets to play in Greensboro or Chatlotte almost every year, they're the last fans who should be complaining. It would have been the same this year if not for Governor McCrory and HB2.
And why are my fellow Golden Eagles sticking up for Duke??? :-\
