Was anyone worried about it?  He's ahead of schedule. Got us into the dance this year.  Looking forward to some fun years ahead.

On schedule...ahead? No.

No one would be crazy enough to want him on their staff after this defensive performance. But hey with the money MU supposedly has to spend on the bball program maybe we can throw a bunch of that at Frank Martin to light a fire under our teams ass and get them to play some d

Seriously with the coach talk?  You people are really insufferable after every loss.

Reminds me of the Georgetown game.  Absolutely no answers. . . wow.

Outscored by 24 points in 2nd half. Complete embarrassing performance.

God, this place is awful after a loss. Yeah, this game sucked. It doesn't mean this season wasn't a step forward.

Brutal second half. Turnovers, awful defense. Blownout big time.

I'd take Frank Martin over Wojo every day of the week. Toughness and defense versus our weakness and stupidity

Interesting discussion with a Mizzou alum today.  He noted Quinn Snyder had great success at first, good recruiting, tournament appearances, and an elite 8 in his first few years.  Then it all went downhill from there.

Not exactly a pick-me-up discussion.  His point was that a coach can only trade on the Duke association for so long, and then he has to define himself.

I don't see Wojo failing that test.  On to next year.  Go Warriors.

??? Have you seen what Snyder has done with the Utah Jazz???   He's in the conversation for NBA coach of the year.  .....Mike Brey made the elite 8 in back to back seasons...years 15 and 16 at Notre Dame, because ya know you can only trade on that Duke association for so long and all.  It is silly season.

Yep, because he did such a good job getting South Carolina to the tournament his first four years there.

Snyder's performance in the NBA was discussed, but in the NBA it is legal to pay players, slight distinction  ;)

Honestly, I never thought much of Brey or ND as a basketball program.  I would hope for better for Marquette and Wojo than back to back Elite 8's 12 and 13 years from now.

Yep, because he did such a good job getting South Carolina to the tournament his first four years there.

People just don't understand.

It took Jay Wright FOUR years to get Villanova to NCAA Tournament.
It took Mike Krzyzewski FOUR years to get Duke to NCAA Tournament.
It took John Thompson FOUR years to get Georgetown to NCAA Tournament.
Rick Pitino almost didn't make the NCAA's in his FOUR years at Boston U before getting Providence job.

The list is long.

When K retires, I will worry.    Not before.   And be careful what you wish for.     What if Wojo leaves and takes his staff with him?    Are you ready for another 5 years of purgatory?

A lot of things need to go wrong for a disaster like this to happen:
1. You get the idea for this thread
2. You type your idea into sentences using the keyboard
3. You click "post".
At any point in that process self respect could have kicked in and stopped it.
But no.

Very long.

I have used these types of examples many times but the mouth-breathers don't care for facts.

They want the kind of success Shaka has had at Texas ... oh wait ...

OK, I let you go all season ripping on Shaka.  And for sure he had a bad year this year.  But, they were in the tourney last year, and he has a top 10 recruiting class coming in.  So, my gut is he'll have plenty of success in Texas.   Just needs time.  Similar to Wojo.

I think that's part of 82's point. Even the superstar coaches need time when taking over a new job.

rocky, rocky, rocky ... come on!

BTW, one coach we know won't replace Wojo after he leaves is K. We don't want one loser who can't win an NCAA game against South Carolina replaced by another loser who can't even beat South Carolina.
