I wanted to take the time to thank JJ, Luke, and Katin for giving us one of the most memorable, fun seasons in recent memory.
The boys definitely exceeded expectations, and I can't wait for next year.
Thank you again seniors, we truly appreciate everything you've given to this program.
Despite how it ended, this was definitely a successful season. Got the seniors to the tournament and got the young guys tournament experience. Gotta improve the defense, but I still believe the future is bright.
Love our guys. It's been a fun season, and great to return to the dance. The direction is good.
Thanks JaJuan, Luke and Katin.
Lost two final games. Laid a total egg on biggest stage. Hardly a great season.

You had MU making the dance this year?
Tell me what's going to happen next year?
I'd prefer the NIT to that performance. A complete disaster.

How would you have defined "great season" back in October? Final Four? National Title?
Given the option to make the Tourney (albeit with a First Round exit) back in the Fall, hard to believe anyone here wouldn't have taken it in a heartbeat...

Never. Bad last ten minutes. Good season.

Lol. No need to explain anymore. Your logic is f***ed
Recency bias. The team made the dance. That was it's ceiling.

Then your law degree isn't worth a damn and you are a fool. NCAA = better recruiting opportunities, better for conference, $$$, chance of a lifetime for these kids.
good season, tough second half, it all went wrong. We're on the right path, thanks to our seniors, can't wait until next year.
It was a fun season and I believe we exceeded expectation. I wouldn't trade that Nova win for a win against SC tonight. We'll be back and better. Thanks guys.
Fun season, and a lot to look forward to.
Hopefully the younger guys can use this to fuel them moving forward.
Let's dance again soon.

Agree. But next year I am laying down the marker for a Sweet 16 run.

Don't disagree there.
But a 20 pt ass kicking when MU was favored (worst line was Pick Em) by 1 is inexcusable.

Dude bro. You are coo-coo for cocoa puffs.
If someone had said to me at the beginning of the season: "Would you rather win the NIT with 99.99% probability or make the NCAA and be blown out with 99.99% probability?" I would choose the latter, 100 out of 100 times.

Sad.
We're back. Not completely. But this program is crawling back from a dark corner. Tonight was tough and there will be tough nights ahead but I'm all in and proud to be a part of the Marquette nation.

:'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
Our defense was crap most of the season. Our offense was great most of the season. The offense stopped working for the last 11 minutes, where we only scored 10 points.
It sucks, but if you offered me this season back in November, I would take it in a heartbeat. Lots of fun. The wins against Nova, Creighton x2, Xavier x2, and even not blowing it in OT against Seton Hall (the first sign of a useful Heldt!) were entertaining as hell. The first half barrage against DePaul in Milwaukee was incredible. Watching Rowsey draw fouls on 3's every damn game. Seeing us hit shot after shot after shot all year long was such a nice change. A great offense and crap defense is so much better to watch than the reverse.
Thanks to Katin, Luke, and JaJuan. This was by far the best season to be a fan since 2013. Big questions about how we'll replace those three, but I'm excited for the future and glad that I still gave a crap about Marquette basketball on March 17.
Luke, JJJ and Katin helped us get back to the NCAAs. The importance of that can't be overstated. It's a big first step toward returning Marquette to the top of the Big East and national prominence.
Looking ahead, the bar will be raised again. Think back to the beginning of the season when nobody knew what Andrew, Matt, Markus and Sam would contribute. Now they all have proven experience as starters — and along with Duane, Haanif and Sacar will provide a talented and deep returning core.
That depth should extend to the front court for the first time in recent memory with the addition of Harry Froling, Theo John, Ike Eke and Jamal Cain. And we have open scholarships to add even more talent and experience.
There's nothing enjoyable about getting blown out of a game. Especially on the biggest stage. But the most important lesson of failure is that it shows you where you need to improve. Wojo, the coaching staff and the team have improved by leaps and bounds over the course of the past 3 seasons. And that will be their sole focus for the next 8 months.
The future is bright for MU basketball. November can't get here soon enough.

+1
Loved watching them play all year.
Can't fault their efforts.. they exceeded my expectations for the season
It was a great season. Didn't realize how good it would feel to bust that tourney slump. Big thanks to the coaches and players, especially the seniors, for all their work getting us here.
But I am far from satisfied. Already looking towards next year and hoping for more. Go Warriors!

Opening line was +1.5 to +2.5. the only reason we ended up favored was bettors changing the line. The shift shows that Vegas was right, and the bettors likely got killed on our game.

Thanks Seniors, Marquette is back!
