Our resident Hubris expert needs to congratulate all of the fine MUScoop citizens who thought MU was dancing.
Quote from Mr Hubris: "But I am astonished at the presumption of many that we are guaranteed a spot in the Tourney."
Nice screen name.
I spent today watching Michigan win the Big 10 Title at a U of M alumni function. We had over 700 people in attendance and the atmosphere was electric. Michigan won four games in four days and the Seattle alumni community, which is large, distinguished, and enthusiastic in its support of Michigan athletics, was rewarded with an overwhelming victory today over the Badgers.
Also watched the Harvard - Yale game yesterday at a Seattle Ivy League alumni gathering at which I wore my rep tie with pride. And while Harvard lost it was one of the finest contests I have had the pleasure of watching. The Ivy League genuinely embodies the best in collegiate student athletics.
I am ecstatic that our guys were admitted to the NCAA Tournament. I hope we gain traction but am measured in my expectations for this year. Hopefully. Marquette can build on this and we will reclaim the competitiveness which was once a hallmark of the Marquette brand.
In the meantime, I have two alma maters in the Dance and I will cheer for both.

Just one alma mater shy of chico's record, Crash!
Well we still don't know where Keefe is but we do know he has apparently been hacked by Chicos.

Reminds me of an Onion headline that went something along the lines of:
Michigan State professor who went to Kansas for undergrad, UNC for his MA, and UCLA for his PhD accurately predicts Final Four.

If you mean alma maters in the same Tourney then Jam's and I are tied with three.
Frankly, I think we are one and done this year. Michigan, on the other hand, is on fire and could play deep into the Dance. Michigan crushed Wisconsin today.
BTW, why the love for Princeton??
Also, when are you passing through here again? Beers on me at the Hilltop in Queen Anne.

I was just trying to be hilarious. You can be a cranky SOB sometimes, but you ain't no chicos thank goodness.
Probably neither of our opinions about the Warriors' chances are the most objective. I'm an optimist about Wojo and the team, and you've been a pessimist.
I love Princeton on Thursday because they're playing Notre Dame. If ND wins, then I'll have a new second-favorite team on Saturday.
As for my next trip to Seattle ... my daughter just got engaged last week and the wedding will be in your fair town some time in 2018. I might get there once or twice before then, but definitely will get there then. And given how little cash I'll have left, I'll gladly accept your generosity!!!!

Whatever you say, Niedermeyer.
Keefe, you are the best. I love how you can stir up the nest around here. Was laughing on Friday that your Hubris thread went to six page thread and quickly. Best part was, all you said was it was not a lock.
For the record, I wish all three of your alma maters got in. That would stir up the best even more.

the keefe'er could have stated "and, we're out of coffee" and it would have generated a lockdown frenzy ;D glad to hear back from one of scoops more charismatic posters...reminds me of those old e.f. hutton commercials.

I was watching Yale-Harvard also. Very entertaining to the end. I was cheering for the opposite team of course. Neither was going to beat Princeton yesterday.
