Plenty of candidates. JJ was huge, Luke and Katin come up big on Senior Day.
My vote goes to Markus Howard. 16 points, 9 assists, 6 rebounds, 2 steals, just a complete game.
Let's win the game first.

We gave them some chances.
I'll go with Markus followed by JJ and Sam.
Got to go with th senior JJJ
JJJ. He set the tone and was awesome.
JJJ - got us in it at the start.
honorable mention to the 18 year old.
I was going to go with M2N for 18/9/7, but his two missed FTs almost gave me a heart attack.
So JJJ, for setting the tone and putting the game out of reach early.
I'll go with Hauser. Played almost every minute, had 11 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block and zero turnovers. Played a great all round game.
JJJ for first half, just fantastic
Howard for second half, just fantastic
Howard, Hauser or jjjj?
They all deserve it.
But how much fun are Hauser and Howard gonna be to watch the next few years?
WOJO
Howard. Filled up the stat sheet everywhere and down the stretch.
1. Marcus howard
2. Luke fischer
3 jjj
Markus
JJJ
Nice games from Sam, Wowsy, Luke, and Duane

The game was out of reach when jjj went to the bench fir his nonexistsnt second half defense? I guess u and jjj are the only two that thought tge game was over

JJJ
Markus
JJJ, he set the tone early.
JJ except for missed dunk :o
1 Marcus.
2 JaJuan.
3 Luke/Katin/Sam
JJJ set the tone.
Markus was strong
Markus.
JJJ
I'll go with JJ, set the tone in the 1st half and kept our legs under us. Plus it's Senior day, gotta give it to him.
Marcus was so close to a triple double today. Pretty special how much he has improved since the beginning of a year.
Gotta go JJ. Still had a few a of his patented bonehead plays, but he was the spark and was huge in the 1H.
JJJ.
JJJ
JJJ no contest
Me, I don't miss those easy layups. Not! JJJ
I really love Sam's steadiness. He is so cool and makes little to no mistakes.
Impossible to pick a stud given such a great team effort but would agree with any of the above. Could give it to Wojo but, sorry I do not understand why Wojo appears to have ignored Pattons multiple moves to the top of the key and then his cuts to the basket to receive a pass for a lay-up. Possibly Wojo was more concerned about CU's 3 point shooting. Sans that exception, Wojo has this team playing better defense while maintaining a great offense. Congratulations to all.
10-8 is a great step forward. Again congrats. Kudos to those who hung with him. I did not and it is great feeling to be wrong on this one.
Fantastic team effort. Hard to pick one. I think its between JJJ and Markus.
Markus had the better stat line but JJJ put up similar numbers in only 22 minutes of work. Markus got an extra 11.
JJJ!
Honorable mention to Luke for locking down one of the doublemint twins
JJJ
JJ was the spark who put us in the lead for the whole game. 18 points in the first half.
JJJ on the court
Fishy off the court :-* :-*
JJ. Got us going and we never looked back.
JJ, but Markus a close second
Markus. Followed closely by JJJ, and Luke

He was unbelievably good today. Best game he has played this year.
Gotta go with Jujuan in his last game in MKE.
Have railed against him in the past, but I have to admit I'll miss him.
Didn't think he ever really lived up to his HS hype, but he worked to get rid of the horrible shot he came here with. Lapses on D, innumerable drives out of control (that were truly TO's), but then he'd make a steal out on top and jam it (except for Senior Day). Had some defensive lapses as well, but stuck with the program despite a coaching change. Godspeed, JJJ.
Luke, appreciate your contributions as well. Good post O, poor lateral movement on D leading to a lot of fouls. Never thought for a minute the effort was lacking. Good luck with the twin.
Katin, also thankful for what you did for us. Wasn't warm to you (or AR) early on when you were not hitting. Came around. Nova was your highlight, but had seats in Prov that made it clear that you were the only one at the end working hard to avoid the debacle.
Do well in NYC, and good luck to all of you.
JJJ
JJJ missing that dunk, which turned into a mini Creighton run eliminates him for me. I would give it to Fischer, because he topped off a game with a proposal.

Are you sure that's the same girl? I have both the girl he was dating as a sophomore and this girl up close several times, and I'm not. They were both blondes, but different body types, and haven't seen the sister at all lately.

No one noticed the Doublemint twin's shoes. Unless they were into that sort of thing....

I think we can get that due diligence in the next game day chat room
I want to say JJJ, but I think Marcus.
JJJ because critically good first half. Because he is a Senior. Because I voted against him early in the season because of his heads down drives but he deserved it then.
I vote for JJ or Howard
Markus' stat line is certainly impressive. But in the first half especially, JjJ almost single handedly propelled us to a double digit lead. It's the kind of 'I will simply not allow us to lose' kind of game we would liked to have seen more of. But never mind that now Senior. Thanks for leading us to the Dance today.
JJJ was a monster first half which set the tone
JJJ
Props to KR for deferring not to start on Senior Night. Nice Move.

Then to start the second half he almost single handedly gave it all back getting back cut three times before missing the dunk. Its all wojo could handle before benching him for ten minutes... That has to make him ineligible in my eyes

Great leadership. He recognized that the current lineup was playing well, so deferred for the good of the team. Love that attitude!
It's JJJ. He owned that first half and was the reason we had that big of a cushion.
He had a rough stretch in the second but we don't win the game without that performance.
JjJ for using his left hand.
JJ. Set the tone in first half for the team.
SET THE TONE FOR THE CROWD FOR REMAINDER OF GAME.
Crowd was into it and stayed into it...thats huge.

I noticed that also but feel validated now!
I went with JJJ even after the missed dunk and FT. Markus played well of course and has a nice stat line but his shaky handle was exploited a little in the second half not to mention his two missed 1&1 opportunities at the end. JJJ got us a lead that we never relinquished.
It's got to be Trey J.
Excellent choice.
We need JJJ to keep going strong.
I think AR's patented 3 Pt foul streak ended in this game. Hope he starts another.

No, I think this makes 2 of the last 3 games without what is now termed "a Rowsey". He's in a slump!

Thanks, I missed it.
Thought Markus deserved it. All-around game, kept it at a good pace and played with poise, hit some shots as big as JJJ and also grabbed 7 boards. Very impressive performance, but kudos to the whole squad and Jajuan for showing up. It was obvious how upset he was with himself for the missed dunk. He seems to get in his own head and beat himself up too much for the mistakes.

Can you share more about this? Had not heard this. Classy. Was glad to see Wojo start Luke and JJJ in their last games at the Bradley Center - and both responded.
Stud could have been JJJ or Markus. Though I must say JJJ's SOTG picture on the left cracks me up, and perfectly encapsulates his personality. Happy go lucky kid. Nice kid. Will miss him, despite his at times maddening plays.

Not really, just picked it up from one of the TV broadcasters. But when Reinhartd came out the final time and huged Wojo I read into that the great respect he has for Wojo. Just my observation.

Actually what you say is demonstrably false.
1st play, he did get beat on a back cut.
2nd play, he forced a TO
3rd play, he was no involved (missed 3)
4th play, M2N failed to get back on D.
5th play, Hauser failed to get around on a screen.
6th play, JJJ did a good job coming from the weak side to help, when Luke failed to respond right on a slip screen. Patton scored anyway.
7th play, JJJ defends well, forces Foster to take a bad shot
8th play, JJJ did get beat on a back cut
9th play, not involved (he misses his dunk)
10th play, break away dunk from Patton (JJJ not involved)
He got beat on 2 back cuts, played really good D on the other plays. He shut down Foster when he was in. Part of that was overplaying the deny to stop him from even getting the ball. That will lead to an occasional beat on a back cut (which is what they drew up at halftime). Get over your bias, there is nothing here on this one, he played great.
I'd have gone with JJJ slightly over Markus and Sam, who I thought had an outstanding all-around game.
JJJ and Markus showed just how great we can be ... and also just how fine the line is between success and failure is for us.
JJJ couldn't have played better in the first half - he looked like an NBAer. He started OK in the second half but went for a few more steals that led to CU baskets. And when he missed that dunk, it changed the momentum of the game. Could have gone up 17; instead, in less than 2 minutes, CU had cut our lead to 5. The miss obviously messed with JJJ's head and Wojo had to get him out of there; Duane played so well that JJJ didn't get back in until the closing minute ... and then he promptly missed a 1-and-1.
Markus had a nice all-around game and hit a few big shots - I remember a particularly nice 3 and a beautiful floater from the side. But he tried to get cute showing off his handle at the top of the key and got picked clean, and he was loose with a couple of passes, helping CU stay in the game. Then, with a chance to clinch it, he totally bricked two 1-and-1s.
I hope this isn't perceived as ragging on our guys at all. I'm one of the bigger JJJ fans around and I think Markus is a borderline stud. I just felt this game showed so much about the state of MU hoops - still a lot of room for improvement but obviously some greatness is there.
