Will we get a 15-30 3 pt barrage with just enough defense, winning our first game 92-85?
Do it twice?
Come up against a team that can defend the 3, attack the rim, and go down to narrow defeat in game 1?

I'm think our first game is a blow out either way.
If we get a tough draw against size and shoot average.
Otherwise I think it were on like you suggest we're gonna roll someone. Gonna get some team not used to our 3 pt barrage and shell shock em
One thing we have going for us is that whoever we play isn't going to know us nearly as well as the teams we've played since January. We obviously need to shoot it well to win, but I just fe that - depending on matchup - a bunch of teams are going to have a hard time keeping up with our scoring if we're just shooting our average. And if last night was any indiciation of what were gonna get out of JJJ and KR the rest of the way, this could get very fun.
What time is the selection show on? Will it extend 4 hours?
I've got a 1:05pm ET spring training game to watch, I believe.. I'm thinking I've got no time issues if we head back to the crib (er, more likely the bar) shortly after the baseball game..
What I like is that even the concept of "us needing to shoot well" is buttressed by the fact that we have 4 money three point shooters and 3 others than can surely make a few - really - we just need 2 to be 'on' from deep and Luke solid around the rim with some good drives to have our average 80 point game - when three guys have good games from deep we roll teams - so really the chances of everyone not shooting well and we get spanked are small
I worry about a team as reliant on the 3 with our lack of experience. I feel like many teams come out cold in that situation. We'd be the underdog and may play more freely.
If I'm a top 4 seed I'm concerned about Marquette. They could either fizzle out and lose to any team in the tournament or come out strong and whoop a top team out of the tournament

What amazes me is that we've shot worse than 35.7% 3FG as a team this year only THREE TIMES.
THREE.
Our consistency from deep is unreal.
UCLA? 12 games under 32.5%.
It's CRAZY.
In years past, it often felt like our aggressive defense and being accustomed to the physical style of the Big East could be a hindrance as NCAA refs were less forgiving. I wonder if our defensive issues might not seem as bad with refs that don't come in expecting a physical game.
Really depends on our draw. I think it's hard for us to fly under the radar at this point, but I also think that teams that might not be very familiar with us might not fully appreciate just how many offensive threats we have. If we come across a few teams that haven't done their homework, the first weekend could be a lot of fun.
I think it will be about matchups, but I think it is more about the type of team we play. If we have a team with a strong guard or two that can take our guards off the dribble (Cartwright or Ponds for example), that is a bad draw for us. Still, we can get hot and win such a game, but that type of team scares me.
If? Really?
NCAA tourney has always been about matchups.

I have no idea. No result would surprise me with this team.

That applies whether Marquette is up 30 or down 30.
