Heard most of this before, but good article. Also good news for us this year (with our weak RPI).

I really hope this is true. One point of proof I would point to is Joe Lunardi. I may be off base, but my guess is that he is as accurate as he is because he has good sources inside the committee. Since this meeting took place, he has suddenly put a lot of really high RPI teams in and close to the tournament. Even now, Georgia Tech is considered his first team out....their RPI is over 90! That would blow the record for highest RPI out of the water! Not to mention us not being in Dayton as of now.

I could be completely wrong but it seems to make sense.
