Title: MU/Providence Always Strange Things ...
Post by: Tugg Speedman on February 25, 2017, 05:04:29 PM
2009 - A fan jumps on the court in Providence seemingly to start a fight with MU players

2013 - The Bradley Center Bat

2017 - The game of a thousand slips.

Am I missing any?

If not, note that they occur every four years and alternate between Providence and Milwaukee.  Wonder what 2021 will bring in Miwaukee?

Everyone should be used to losing a lot at this point.

While it is terrible in this day and age that you can't get good conditions to play a college basketball game, I thought the choppiness of the early part of the second half benefited Marquette.  Providence could get no momentum going and it kept the crowd out of the game.

I thought the breaks in play helped them in the first half, but helped us more in the second, especially Reinhardt tripping over Heldt's feet and the ref thinking it was a slip on wet surface.

Have the engineers every heard of insulation?  Does the Garden have these problems?  Our solution is people with towels going around kicking to pick up the moisture....after some kid breaks his neck the lawyers will fix the problem.

I believe the conditions at today's game were very unsafe. I was concerned we would lose kids on both teams to serious injuries.  Not sure why the coaches didn't agree to postpone . The announcers said both coaches agreed to play.
