In Wojo's first 2 seasons as head coach at Marquette, the team was 0-10 against Villanova and Xavier — two of the Big East's premier programs.
This year, MU has victories against both. Big wins for our postseason hopes and the future of the program.
Yeah but got swept by Butler, a team we beat last year and lost to Providence at home. Kind of evens out but, yes, we are slightly better.

Maybe I am being dense, but how does one go 0-10 in two seasons against 2 programs. Can't the worst be 0-6 in two seasons?

The worst in the regular season would be 0-8.. but I believe we lost to Villanova and Xavier in the conference tournament games, pushing it to 0-10.

Correct. We have home-and-away games with every team in the Big East — that's 4 regular-season games against Villanova and Xavier each year, or 8 in two years. Xavier ended our season a year ago in the Big East tourney, Nova the year before that (a 35-point crusher).
Confirmed - I am an idiot!

I'm sure a lot of us would prefer to forget those games. (Especially the Villanova loss in the BE tournament).
