Not inspiring much confidence.

In the first he acknowledges that the team doesn't listen to the coaching staff. In the second, he says the team wants to play selfishly.

What a goddamn mess.

This attitude alone is reason enough to give him more minutes.

I agree on the concept of giving him more minutes, but he had two fouls within about four minutes of game action in the first half today.

He has to stop doing that.

I bet Wojo didn't recruit a lot of these guys but how does that absolve him from coaching them up?  Ive never seen a guy get a hall pass for personnel like Wojo.  His players won't have much of an impact next yr either because they are young and physically unprepared for BE play.

That will be the excuse for next year but what will the excuse be in year 5?

While I agree, some here think we need to get rid of the seniors--I know, he is a redshirt jr,, but after all, he is not one of Wojo's guys. Because some here think that Wojo does not have enough of his guys yet. After all...there are only Cheatham, Rowsey, Reinhart, Hauser, Heldt, Howard, etc. And the seniors are just that dog meat. Let's see...Fischer a first team all stater, and was he also Mr. basketball?, Wilson, a first team all stater, JJJ a stud from Tn., but they are not Wojo's guys, so Wojo gets a pass. Time for the heat to rise.

Are you seriously citing Duane's, JJJ's and Fischer's high school accolades?

BTW, Duane was an all BEast frosh, and people here loved JJJ's play last year. So are you seriously saying that you agree that those 3 guys should be dumped.

Oh yeah, I get it, you are from the school that gives Wojo the pass because they are not his guys.

I don't think they should be dumped and I don't think Wojo should get a pass.

Buzz made it work with Acker and Cubillan who he didn't recruit. I think that's one of my biggest worries of Wojo. There's no Plan B and I worry he doesn't seem to adjust his style to his players.

This is the way I see it....its Wojo's roster at this point- he has had the chance to recruit over everyone on the team (and many of his own recruits mind you).

Obviously he has to have a chance for his recruits to mature, but I don't yet see the vision on when that occurs.  Our new guards don't play defense any better than our old guards.  Our new bigs haven't been able to supplant Luke.  Our PFs are...well...we dont have any.

It's all about results and momentum here on out for Wojo -- as we saw during the week we caught lightening in the bottle, everyone wants to believe and get behind the team....

Other than the week's vacation we had, I don't see where we are going either.  Progress to what?  This is a seriously flawed team with little heart.  Last year's was a seriously flawed team with little heart. At some point that has to end.

Ha. Good one. Bring back the cowboy dog meat to coach his leftovers. Can't wait till wojo is rid of those seniors, so he can truly shine. After all, he has heldt to replace fishy, Cain to re place jjj, and amin to replace kr

I think its pretty clear where we have been going.

Year 1: Cobble together a team and put it on the court
Year 2: Get 1st recruiting class and start to implement system. Missing shooting.
Year 3: Add shooting. Offense installed (top 10 in the country, best in modern era for MU). Missing size.
Year 4: Add size. First balanced roster of Wojo era. Offense likely takes small step back (hopefully still top 25). Hopefully defense takes huge step forward.
Year 5: Add 20 year old freshman Brendan Bailey. Likely add 5 star Joey Hauser. Hopefully add another talented freshman.

Trust me, I'm beyond frustrated right now. I got drunk off the Nova win and thought we were heading to the top early. Hangover has sucked. But season by season we have improved.

TAMU - what you describe is reactionary - not a plan - it's not like we can't add size while improving shooting. I agree we are better than we were two years ago.  There is just a long way to go. That's what I mean by momentum and results here on out - theory at this point is mildly interesting.

The team really looked like something clicked into place w.o creighton and VU - need to see that passion again and more consistently.

I don't think its reactionary. Its not like Wojo didn't try to add size for this season. He didn't get it done. He failed in that aspect. Correcting it next year.
