This team sure looks like they need it. We know D is going to be mediocre to bad, but need to get the offense back on track.
I don't mean to be a downer rock but this team has 'quit' for the most part.

I'm a huge optimist. But wow. If they didn't want to play in the tournament they should have saved me my Saturday morning.

Odd, I don't think a simple player has 'quit'. But they are playing piss poor. It's actually surprisingly bad - and I don't know why.
Thought this team had turned a corner and realized they had to play every possession. Today if they get up for one possession in 5 I'd be surprised. This is atrocious for mid-February.
Unless something major happens this team is going to go from being a position of talking about seed, to a position of missing the NIT in a matter of 4 weeks.
Sick to my stomach.
Well, at least we know we 'll be playing the first night of the BE Tournament. But unless that game is against DePaul, our season ends there.

You could see it in the last minute or two of the first half. They got to within one possession and just stopped playing. That's why we went into the half down 9 or 10.
They do that pretty regularly, unfortunately. Play hard, make it a game, then stall and quit. The lack of mental toughness and at times a lack of competitive spirit is so frustrating.
I mean you have to figure we get hot at least one more time, but even if we do that and beat SJU at home (which is no gimmie) NIT might still be a reach to far.
Wojo is staring on in disbelief. But this is his team. Still the same personnel that beat Creighton and VU.

I think that was more poor decision making than it was poor effort.

Quitting mentally just as bad (worse) than quitting physically.

Can we just shut down Scoop for a week too? Probably better for all of us.

True. I could use a week off.
We definitely need it.
Doubt a week will help. But we will see on the 18th.
we NEED the next game. Do anything to win the next one

Agreed its not quitting its just going full on retard and pkaying hero ball. If u watch it happens the same way every timeusualky involves a certain person trying to make hero steal leaving his team down a man or same said person chucking up crap or turning tge ball over for runouts.

So inappropriate.
We have a week off to regroup, we got this
If we cant beat Xavier, at home, on National Marquette Day; after a week off for prep/soul searching/motivational meetings etc... I don't know what to think of this season. Aside from being a roller roaster ride that ended in a crash.

Your word choice is not appropriate.
