That 4/5 game is the place to be. No chance of a bad loss, unless you somehow happen into a good win first. Would much rather play Butler (or Creighton, or Xavier) in the 4/5 than St. John's, Providence, Georgetown, or Seton Hall if we're on the bubble.

True, but if we are the 3 seed in the Big East Tournament, I have to think we are playing for seeding rather than worrying about getting in.

Depends. If we're 11-7 or 12-6 and the three, we have nothing to worry about. If 3-5 logjam at 10-8 each, I'd much rather be the 4 or 5 than the three.

Just to have fun with this...

10-8 we're a solid 5. Maybe SH Catches us with a 6-2 finish (not sure about tie breakers). So all good.

If 11-7 I don't care the seed, just do good. We're in the big dance.

But 9-9 is dicey. Need a couple of wins minimum to go 20-13. We want a 6 seed assuming nova is the toughest out. Can't see a 7 seed but if so, 3 wins in a row and 21-13 sounds even better.

8-10 don't even want to think it...will need a 4 win BET and get the auto.

Makes sense. Just looking at the bubble and the wins we'd need for 10-8, I have a tough time seeing us left out with that resume, even with a loss in the first round.

I think 1 win in the BET at 9-9 and we're in.  May even get to Dayton and 9-9 a BET opener loss.  Honestly guys, its that weak.

I don't think there is any chance.
