After the huge win against Villanova, I thought to myself, are we finally back? I know we had a good year last year. But ever since Buzz has left we haven't been considered as one of those upper echelon teams. Now that we beat the #1 team, people are starting to talk about us more. I know we lost to providence but we need to keep going in the right direction.

I agree with this analysis.
The biggest thing to come out of the win was the overall impact it has on the fan base and the university. I constantly get slammed for wanting MU to be big time and living in the past too much. Well, everyone out here that is not old enough to have lived the Al era, just had an Al moment. That win and that feeling is what is all about. Hopefully more now understand what big time ball and big time win feels like.
As importantly, I constantly beat the importance the program has on the overall university and that was proven big time last week. MU had more social media action than it ever has in it's history on social media. MU basketball is the cornerstone for success for the university as a whole and it as proven last Tuesday night.
