That's a bit intense...
I know, but I remember when I was at MU how much these games meant. I realize it's unrealistic to have every student there, but the place has to be packed.
I was wondering when this thread would pop up.
Early in semester, Number 1 team in the country showing up. I think there will be a big student turnout.
THere are tons of cheap tickets for the game still on stubhub.

I get that there should be a big turn out but let's remember these students have only ever seen disappointment in their school's basketball team, so it might not be as big of a turn out as we'd hope.

Bunch of front-runners, hey?
It's #1. No excuses period and there are absolutely no academic concerns for these kids right now. Time to show up,
So how long after graduation until, "The student section is terrible" thoughts start rolling in? Two years out of Marquette and still not getting them.

I had to give away my tickets for Tuesday. Got my Hamilton tickets back in July and didn't want to go through the hassle of selling/swapping. I'm going to be pissed if I miss out on beating #1.

You already know what happened to Hamilton. Go to our game and be surprised with the outcome.
Students have more excuses than..... winning solves many things in life. They have to want to go. But if your a basketball fan in Milwaukee area you got to be there!
Missing two days of school to go to this game. Bitches better be there.

Saw him at Miller's Pub in a walking boot last night.
Nah, coached on Saturday.
You guys freaked me out with the Wayne Brady news! Looks like he was back Sunday so he should be good for Tuesday.
I'm planning on taping the game and watching it after work Wednesday. Think I can make it 24 hours without being spoiled?

That's fair, but if you get the StubHub app and wait until 2-3 hours before the show, prices drop significantly. Seats that go for $600-1000 will be available at a fraction of the price.

Have a feeling we won't be complaining about the students as much as the regular fans. Unless there's a big walkup, it's gonna be a 14k max crowd tomorrow. Ticketmaster map looks like a buy game upstairs.

I agree with your thinking. Fact is most students are not fans, like many of us are.
It was one of my idea's with the Ticket Dept. in meetings this fall. Stop with the giveaways with the students on Saturday's when the students will come and save them for the school nights.

Just keep winning and that will take care of itself.
Tell you what, I know approximately zero students read this site and I complete understand in this day and age of college if they have something else going on to where they cant make the game. Here's a few:
1. "just not a basketball fan"
2. "Taking a grad level class at night" (means strict attendance policy)
3. working
4. The team's been terrible for their entire tenure so they're apathetic, so it's more something random to do on a Saturday than a weekday.
5. "we're going to lose anyways" kind of relates to the basketball team having been bad their whole tenure but in a different way.

These are probably the biggest thing. There isn't a single undergrad (on a normal four year schedule) that has seen postseason play. Stark contrast to those of us who had teams that were a given to make the tournament every year.

Back in my day I had season tickets for my four full years. I did not attend every game. Quite frankly I wish everyone would stop complaining about attendance as most schools would die for our attendance figures.
