Title: No respect from SI
Post by: tower912 on January 20, 2017, 03:25:51 PM
This week's SI has a story about basketball players leaving high school early.  No mention of everybody's favorite 5'11 Big East freshman of the year candidate.  Fie upon thee.

MH while getting some mentions for example on the BE site still not getting much national love. CBS sports has Ponds and Patton mentioned in their top 10 but no MH in best of rest. I think he measures up but probably needs to have a few more great games to move up the radar.

SI may be embarrassed they didn't mention Markus in their preseason projections... which included their forecasted top ~8 MU scorers this season

I just started receiving out of the blue like 2 months ago.  They just sent to my wife as a free bonus for one of her magazine subscriptions.  I didn't realize that Steve Rushin still writes for SI.  Every few weeks he has his column at the end of the magazine.

Steve is becoming one of my favorite writers.  I am working through his books.  "Pint Man" has nothing to do with sports, and contains some not-so-thinly veiled references to Marquette.
