Okay, I'll take my stab since tower is away...
- I don't care how bad DePaul is, that was a great offensive performance. Even the shots that didn't fall were good shots.
- Rowsey and Reinhardt were studs. Stepped up when needed.
- On paper, won't be Markus' best game, but when he's on, he's effortlessly good.
- This is how we need to treat the league's bottom three if we want a bid. Look at what happened to the Hall at Providence today. We need this level of effort every time.
- The next three will be much, much harder.
- Fun game. Thanks for the effort, boys.
All good today. Obviously the ball movement and 3's, but also the team defense.
Anderson possibly even worse than Simpkins. That was horrible to listen to
Did what we had to do. Let's try to steal one of the next 3. My money's on Butler.
Good game and shooting. JJJ just needs to heal up from whatever happened on that last play.
Chairman Row and the Great Leap Forward will be written in the history books about this game.
53 bench points. Nice job men.
Glad Howard got his "bad game" out of the way. Save the good stuff for Butler on Monday.
Preseason I picked Rowsey as one of our best players. He hasn't lived up to that at all. But this offensive ability is why I made that prediction.

He'll be motivated for sure.

Play loose and have fun the next 10 days. One win would be success. I have a feeling we get it Monday.
- Great defensive effort last 30 minutes
- Starters got to rest with a short turn around
- Started off cold with threes, got extremely hot, then bit cold in second half.
- Thought it was Duane's best game of year 9 points, 7 assists, 1 steal, 2 rebounds
- Luke, well.. 1-2 from field, 0-2 fts, 2 rebounds, 2 points.
- JJJ fall was pretty ugly, will need him Monday
- Favorite part of game, when Rowsey started to go ballistic, he was in front of Depaul bench and some white guy sub stood up and yelled as he shot. Nothing but net and he just stared back at the guy. Classic.
Once again when our 3 point shooting is on, we look incredible. Great 8 minute stretch to close out the half. Still need to work on the defensive end and get better. The better we get defensively the better the chance we can win games when our 3 point shooting is not quite on.

Agreed. And the short turnaround may be to our advantage as Butler is in a fistfight with Xavier and may be a bit off their game.

This could be an important point. Butler is currently in a battle. We could be a lot more rested than they are.
It's nice to have options

I thought Marquette's defense was really good today. DePaul isn't the best barometer because they are terrible though.

Luke barely got a chance to shoot. They doubled him every time he touched the ball. He passed out of the post wonderfully though.
If I were an opposing coach, I would make Luke beat them. No doubles.
Rowsey's eFG%: 120.0%
Rebounds and assists. That is good basketball!
Fischer still sucks

He's statistically our best player but okay.

I was amazed at DePaul's defensive philosophy. Give up wide-open - and I mean WIDE OPEN - treys to one of the best 3-point shooting teams in the nation so you can double-down on Luke? Thanks, Coach L (as in Loser)!
I like Luke, and he would have scored more points if they had played him straight-up, but we not only started hitting those easy 3s but also got energized by them.
We were good today - really loved the defense by Hauser and Duane in particular - but DePaul was both bad AND stupid.
Great win. A win is always good, no matter who we play. I like Rowsey's game. In addition to be a great shooter, hunt plays bigger than his height on defense. Hauser is flawless. He does everything well, shooting, Rebounding and shot blocking. The o my negative that stood out for me was Fisher's defense. It seems that he doesn't know how to defend without fouling. If I were the other team I would shoot into Fisher constantly. He has to learn how to defend with his body.

As Dr Vinnie said, He is who he His.
Accept it or keep getting frustrated.
Way to make DePaul look like...well...DePaul. Great job and let's get the next one or two of the next two and make a bit of a statement

He took a lot of double teams which opened our guys for 3s so......
This is not intended to bash our big men as I am a fan of Fischer. I think he does a lot of things very well.
That sad Sam had more than twice the rebounds (9) yesterday as Fischer (2) and Heldt (2) combined. Sam is going to be a great player before his MU career is over.
I was Rowseyed. Before the game starts my wife and I always pick a player to be high scorer. She picks first and I was happy when she did not take Howard, who was my pick. I was leading 7-0 nothing, before her pick Rowsey came in and blew me away. To actually be the winner the player you pick has to end up being the high scorer. We do not have anything on the line besides pride, which matters more to me than her.
Sam has done a nice job getting the easy rebounds Henry did. He always seems to be around the ball.
I wonder if there lack of Fischer rebounds is by design. In think Otule was someone who made sure his man had no chance and the other guys swooped in to get the board. I haven't watched closely enough. Luke was aggressive against Seton Hall going for boards.
