Title: Viewing Guide for MU v. Depaul
Post by: TAMU, Knower of Ball on January 13, 2017, 08:33:23 AM
Being down here in remote Texas, I was worried about being able to find the game tomorrow. I found a list of all the channels it will be on for those of us who are outside of FS Wisconsin's range.

FS Wisconsin
FS Southwest (Yay! I can watch it!)
FS West
FS Florida
FS Ohio
FS Detroit
FS North
FS Southeast

I know we're playing Depaul, but I think its odd that our game isn't on FS2 instead of Creighton vs. Truman State.

Damn, I can get Fox sports Central, Pacific, and Atlantic on Vue, but not any of those.  Radio or bar for me...(or illegal stream)

Is that going to cut into Svengoolie or no?

Isn't it going to be on the Fox Sports Go app?

Anyone with DirecTV can add the Sportspack for the day at the pro-rated cost of $13, so what amounts to less than $0.50.  Then just call the next day and cancel it - or just keep it until January 28 when MU plays Providence and the game will be regionally televised again.

I just keep the sportspack for the whole winter.  Between that and nationally televised games, pretty much any CBB you could ever want to watch is televised.

Just checked, and for me there's good and bad news.  If I authenticate on Fox Sports Go with my Vue account, I do have access to the game (woohoo!).  But, it's a replay at 8pm instead of live (boo!).

So, good to know vue subscribers do have access to those channels, but also worthwhile to note that probably not all the FS regional networks will be showing the game live.

Nonetheless, probably worth logging into FSGo to see if you have access to it live.

I actually think I am gonna make both the men's and ladies games  @DePaul. I figure that next Saturday I can just walk down the street to the Meyer. Maybe get a good dinner at Range or White Oak Tavern before.

With Vue you should be able to download the fox sports app onto your fire stick/Roku stick etc, and then use that I would think.

This post inspired me to check how the women's team is doing.

13-5, 4-2 in conference
ESPN bracketology has them in as a 9 seed
Erika Davenport averaging almost a double-double (9.8 boards, 12 points)

Looks like a decent season so far, I might have to check out a game!

Just checked Fox sports go has the game listed at 1pm. You can  use your phone ps4 or Chrome cast to download and watch.

I did check FSGo this morning.  I'll check again, but as of this morning, the only listing *for me* on FSgo was the 8pm replay.  UR - do you have vue?

Edit: Tried again.  Open app in Android.  Search "Marquette", click on Marquette Golden Eagles, shows DePaul @ Marquette replay at 8pm.

Gosh, I sure hope not.  While the game may be B movie quality, it will completely lack Sven's trademark wit.

They'll charge you a $10 fee on top of that prorated charge for  adding/dropping programming within 30 days.

Really? Sure that can be regotiated away with a little effort, but honestly I just buy it for CBB season. Best $12 or whatever it is I spend a month.

Was hoping he'd be working with Dr. Destruction to get both Illinois and Wisconsin perspectives.

Yes....We now have a few games against some of the lower contingent of the Beast that will not be on FS1 or 2.....Thus on the regional FSN networks.....For those interested.....and you have DirecTV......You can turn on the Sports Pack (normally $15ish a month) for a 3 month free trial at which time "conveniently" you can turn it back off before you have to start to pay.....So all the MU games will be free....Just remember to turn it off at the end of March when the Beast ends.....
Totally free......Just saying.....Found that out when I called DirecTV to turn it on regardless......Very convenient......

Used both vue and a time Warner Cable login to check. Confirmed it's there for me.

Maybe it's a regional thing. Are you based outside of Wisconsin? Feel free to pm me for  my login to vue.

Yup, in Denver.  Must be regional - just surprised that Fox Sports wouldn't want a wider (live) streaming audience - especially for people paying for service.  Oh well, that's their call.

I'm logged in to fox sports go through my vue account amd it shows the game coming up at 11 a.m. and then a replay at 8 p.m. Not sure if that's what's happening for you but I thought I wasn't getting it for the same reason until I looked more closely.

Still no go on fox sports go for me (thanks all).  But I did find a stumble across a fox sports west stream, so I think I'll see the game :)

Odd side note, anyone else notice ESPNs scoreboard is not updating today?

Or maybe my FS West stream installed a virus! lol.
