He signed a while ago. And won't be here until 18. Am i the only one concerned if he has developed or not?
He'll be just fine. There is nothing wrong with a 20 year old freshman.

He's still able to play and work out on his mission.
Won't take much for him to get back up to speed next summer.
It's not an entirely unreasonable thought.
My guess is this has been discussed before on this board. But are there many examples of players succeeding at the high D1 level after having taken their mission?

Was told by a friend of the program (hadn't heard that meme in a while) that Bailey has "put on 15lbs of good weight" since leaving for his mission. I think he is using this time to get his body ready. Having a legitimate 20 year old freshman (as opposed to a Todd Mayo 20 year old freshman) will be a godsend for this team.

Pretty much every student athlete in any sports program at BYU (a bit of an exaggeration, but there are plenty).
For what it's worth, I read a story recently on a college baseball pitcher in Texas who missed a couple years because of his mission trip. He said he picked up a baseball once in those two years.

So he is 6'8 right? and around 210 now? Espn has him 6'8 195

Maybe he'll develop like that Purdue Center 7'2" 290 that put the beat on the Badgers.

Yeah, that's why I wanted Buzz to recruit that kid while he was pursuing Riley Norris back in 2013.

Unfortunately, I believe that this offer indicates that Buzz and the staff are not feeling good about the prospects of getting Paul White. Arizona seems to be in the lead.
While he's in an Alabama state of mind, I'd like to see Buzz offer Isaac Haas, a 7'1" 265 lb center from Gadsden, AL.
Another thing about Riley Norris; Butler recently offered him, as well.
Isaac Haas? The dude who wrote "Soul Man" and "Theme from Shaft"?
Bailey may come in a little rusty, but most freshman have a tough time anyway. But, he will come in used to being away from home, working hard, and a more mature body - even if not weight room ready. Trade offs on both sides from a basketball point of view. In the end, the positives of maturing for two years may outweigh the time away from basketball.
When will Bailey actually asset foot on campus?
Why are we worried about BB? He is supposed to set foot on campus in 2018 after his mission is over. Assuming status quo, MU will have Froling ;D, Cain, Eke, John, Sam, (Joey ;)) Haanif, Sacar.... If he isn't ready on day 1, what will the negative impact actually be if those other players are here and what they are supposed to be? On the list of things I worry about in regards to the MU program going forward, how ready Brendan Bailey is going to be during the autumn of 2018 does not show up anywhere.
BB could be super special

BB 2 NBA special?
He'll be an NBAer just like pops. Different games though.

On the list of things I worry about, it's that you apparently have Markus already gone to the association by '18!
Markus and BB don't play the same position. I referenced wings and bigs.
On the "we need bigger, tougher players" front, I'm all for recruiting more athletic, talented Mormon basketball players whose fathers played in the NBA and leave for a 2-year religious mission before coming to Marquette as 20-year-old freshmen (eventually to become 24-year-old seniors).
That's a pretty small pool of potential recruits, however.
I do like BYU's Eric Mica (6-10, 230 pounds). Not an overly physical specimen right now. But he just returned from his mission and is averaging 20.5 ppg and 9.1 rpg as a 22-year-old sophomore.

AKA, not rusty.
