We are not going to win the Big East. We do have a shot at placing 5th and grabbing a tournament bid. The Big East is very strong this year and 5 bids is very likely and 6 is a possibility.
I don't see us catching Villanova, Creighton, Butler, or Xavier. We are playing for fifth, but the good news is, I think it is a very realistic goal, and as I said, should provide an NCAA bid.
So from here on out I will be rooting hard against Providence, Seton Hall, Georgetown, which will be our biggest competition for the fifth spot, and of course also against DePaul and St. Johns. The games against these schools will be very important. Of course, we will need to pick up a few wins over ranked teams for our resume and the top 4 will provide ample opportunities. But the games against Seton GTown and Providence are super important, starting with tonight.
Three words:
Run the table.
And if we lose a game. Stop, listen and repeat:
Run the table.
RELAX, hey?

Seton Hall > Butler.
Not sure where we end up, but I have a hard time seeing us beat Nova and Creighton. Any other team I think we could beat, but I could also see us losing to any other team.
It's why each and every game is the most important game of the season.
Win the games you're supposed to and hope for an upset or two along the way.
Am I the only one that doesn't get why people are rating Xavier so highly? They were great last year but their new frontcourt isn't close to Reynolds and Farr and they clearly miss Davis.
Still likely a tourney team but I don't at all see what clearly separates them from the likes of Seton Hall or Marquette.
